A man who allegedly stole six luxury cars has been banned from several shopping centers and their car parks.

Abela, who is understood to be homeless, was allegedly carrying a three-bladed metal multi-tool with him during his arrest.

It comes after Raymond Edwards, 70, and his wife Barbara were caught tampering with a Tesla at the Brookside shopping center in Brisbane’s inner north last October.

Standing outside his home last month, Edwards told Daily Mail Australia that he and Barbara had let frustration get the better of them after a white Tesla and a white BMW “cut them off” and almost forced them to crash. against a power pole, about 800 meters from the shops. .

The pair then tried to get revenge, but were surprised by the Tesla’s sentry mode, which records the threats on video. They were also seen tampering with the BMW.

Edwards admitted tampering with the cars was the wrong decision before launching into a tirade about motorist behaviour.

He also stated that he would never own an electric vehicle and would “stand there and applaud” if he ever saw a Tesla on fire on the side of the road.

“I regret our actions, but the point is that civility has been thrown out the window and stupidity has been thrown out the window,” Mr Edwards said.

Mr. Edwards was ordered to pay $2,443.61 in restitution for the damage caused to the Tesla and the BMW, while Ms. Edwards was ordered to pay the remaining $897.25 for repair work on the Tesla.
