Dream Home sisters Taeler and Elle suffered a blow on Sunday night’s episode.

The duo decided to take over four spaces in Jacinta and Jordan’s Punchbowl home, boldly transforming the laundry room, powder room, pantry and kitchen.

The kitchen featured a stone countertop and backsplash and a large island with a stove, while the sink was tucked away in a corner near the butler’s pantry.

Victoria’s sisters received praise for the opulence of their kitchen, but some viewers noticed a morbid detail in its design.

“I just realized that the wall-to-wall stone kitchen reminds me of a morgue. The island is like a slab where the bodies lie,” wrote one user on social media.

“That kitchen looks like a mausoleum. What were Taeler and Elle thinking?” commented another.

“As expected, what horrible cooking Taeler and Elle have made. Bland and boring… disgusting!” wrote a third.

And they weren’t the only ones to say that the sisters’ design fell short.

The judges also criticised the kitchen’s lack of functionality and excessive use of stone.

“I was immediately disappointed… because there is a way to make the stone in mass, but I don’t think they got it quite right here,” judge Rosie Morley said.

Meanwhile, Simon Cohen said: “It’s too much stone. I think they’ve been too bold, they’ve been too harsh.”

“What’s disappointing is that (the sink) is probably, next to the refrigerator, the most used item in the kitchen, and you’re here without even space to wash dishes,” Lana Taylor added.

Meanwhile, the duo’s pantry and laundry room were criticized for their lack of storage space.

The couple received a score of 19 out of 30, which placed them at the bottom of the rankings for the week.

Dream Home continues on Tuesday at 7:30 pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.
