A drunk reveler who was partying “too hard” was left stunned when she woke up in the closed toilets of a nightclub the next morning, setting off alarms when she stumbled out.
Eloise Paull started her night out at a friend’s 18th birthday last weekend and headed to Wakefield town center in West Yorkshire with friends to continue the celebrations.
The group went to the legendary Havana nightclub and, according to her friends, Eloise kept “disappearing,” eventually telling them she was going to the bathroom.
But the 19-year-old fell asleep in the cubicle and continued sleeping long after the club had emptied for the night.
Five hours later, at 9am, a teary-eyed Eloise woke up, opened the door and realized to her horror that she was still in the club, setting off alarms as she attempted to place a bet on freedom.
Eloise Paull blushed when she woke up in the club’s bathrooms after partying the night before.
A hilarious clip showed Eloise living her life to the fullest as she partied the night before, enjoying a cocktail and showing off her dance moves.
But in the video below the unfortunate reveler is seen leaving the club as alarms blared behind her, before closing the door and declaring “see you at some porridge.”
Eloise said: “I don’t really know what happened because I was quite drunk.” My partner told me that I told her I was going to the bathroom.
‘I had been disappearing all night so she didn’t think to come and look for me because I had been disappearing.
‘They never saw me again after that. The next thing I did was I woke up in the bathroom and the alarms went off.
“To be honest, I didn’t really know where I was.”
The TikTok footage has gone viral and has racked up more than 60,000 likes, shares and comments.
Known for getting “a little drunk and doing stupid things” in her friendship circle, the waitress said it was the first time she had done something “on this level.”
Eloise had been partying all night at Havana nightclub in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, but friends said she kept disappearing.
A fun clip showed Eloise living her life to the fullest as she partied the night before, enjoying a cocktail and showing off her dance moves.
But messages between Eloise and her friend the next morning showed her embarrassment when she woke up in the bathroom and set the alarm.
Havana Nightclub said they were investigating how it happened and will implement procedures to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
Eloise explained: ‘The noise hurt my ears. It didn’t help with the hangover, but to be honest, at that point I think he was still pretty drunk.
“It took me a little while to realize where I really was. I was really dazed and confused because I had been drinking two days in a row.
‘I was wandering around this big dance floor thinking “what is this place?” All the lights were off so she couldn’t see anything.
‘I went down the stairs and saw the ticket office where you get the bracelets and I thought ‘that’s the ticket office in Havana.’
‘I went and stood behind him looking around thinking “what?” That’s when I realized where he was.
A red-faced Eloise says she ultimately found the “embarrassing” experience fun, but advises others not to make her mistake and drink responsibly and stay with their friends on a night out.
Eloise said: “I thought all pubs checked the toilets and had cleaners who would have come in and cleaned, but somehow no one noticed me.”
Eloise said she was ‘confused’ when she woke up and didn’t know where she was (pictured leaving the club as alarms went off)
The partygoer says the message of the story is to always drink responsibly when going out at night.
Havana Nightclub wished Eloise a “good night’s sleep” after she told them about the incident.
Eloise managed to fall asleep in the club’s bathrooms for five hours before waking up at 9 a.m.
‘After that I took a taxi home, the walk to the taxi was very bad. I still had my heels and dress on, it was so embarrassing.
‘I returned home and sent a message to Havana. They said they were sorry and “I hope you slept well.”
‘I’m known within my friend group for getting a little drunk and doing stupid things sometimes, but not to this level. I thought it was all pretty funny.
‘Drink responsibly is the message.
‘Stay with your friends on a night out and don’t disappear. If I hadn’t disappeared all night they would have realized I was gone, but as I kept disappearing they didn’t look for me.’
A Havana spokesperson said: ‘Havana is a new club that has just opened in Wakefield.
“We are aware of the incident and are investigating how it happened and will put procedures in place to ensure this does not happen again.”
