Married At First Sight girlfriend Natalie Parham has opened up about the last time she spoke to her boyfriend Collins Christian after the couple left the show.

The Melbourne physiotherapist, 32, sensationally ditched the experiment for a second time during Monday’s episode of the dating reality series as she and Collins went home for good.

Now, the girlfriend has revealed the last text she shared with the 28-year-old.

‘I reached out to him to see how he was doing and how he responded to certain articles that were appearing. And I got a one-word answer,” Natalie told The Pulse with Seany B and Emma G.

“I was really hoping that would open up the conversation channel and he could just ask, ‘Hey, Nat. How are you… How’s your mom?’ I heard she has cancer.”

She continued: ‘I put the ball in his court and he never took it back. So I felt really sad about that.”

Natalie then revealed the “one word” response Collins gave her after she kindly reached out: “Cheers.”

‘I wrote this long message, well, quite long. It was a paragraph… reaching out and saying, I’m here for him. And I just got the word ‘applause’ in response,” he added.

Collins and Natalie quickly left the show and returned home less than two days after the final commitment ceremony was filmed.

Natalie had previously expressed her desire to leave during the initial dinner, but was convinced to stay at least until the next commitment ceremony to fulfill her part in the show’s narrative.

However, when it became clear that he would have to stay another week, production leadership intervened.

It was noted that participating in the show is inherently challenging, but considering Natalie’s recent personal loss and her emotional state, continuing on the show would have been unreasonable.
