When are the next Olympics?

The 2028 Olympic Games will begin on 14 July 2028 and end on 30 July 2028. This will be followed by the Paralympic Games, which will be held from 15 to 27 August.

Where will the next Olympic Games be held?

The next Olympic Games in four years will take place in Los Angeles, California.

Following the withdrawal of other candidate cities, the International Olympic Committee has decided to award the 2028 Games to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles hosted the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984 and will become the third city, after London and Paris in 2024, to host the Summer Games three times.

What will happen to the 2032 and 2036 Olympic Games?

The 2032 Games will be held in Brisbane, Australia.

The bidding process is underway for the 2036 Games and Turkey, India, Indonesia and Chile are among the countries considering hosting them.

On a possible bid for the 2036 Olympics, HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal, the Saudi sports minister, said: “I think we now have everything we need to host any tournament that comes our way… I am not in a position to comment on specific bids, but I can tell you that we are always looking at different events and sporting properties that we could partner with.

“We were recently awarded the right to host the Asian Winter Games in 2029 and two years ago we also secured the hosting of the 2034 Asian Games. We will now focus on leveraging our existing world-class infrastructure and preparing new ones for them.”
