- Partners Jess and Ry documented their work on a property in Staffordshire
A couple who spent nine weeks transforming their new house into a forever home shared their tips on the best things to do when renovating your home.
Partners Jess and Ry have documented their journey on TikTok under the username @renovationsatno.3 after purchasing a property in Staffordshire that was in need of extensive renovation.
Sharing initial posts of what they had done in just four weeks after acquiring the keys to their home, the duo shared images showing them tearing apart the kitchen, before proceeding to remove skirting boards, moldings and cupboards in the master bedroom.
Also unhappy with the state of the conservatory adjoining the house, they opted to tear it down entirely, after which they rewired the electrical installation and removed the floorboards and joists so that they could install underfloor heating.
To make more space in their new residence, the couple also opted to replace the garage with a kitchen.

Last week, posting an update on how their project had been progressing, they said the plastering process had finally begun, although this had left the somewhat dangerous obstacle of fresh plaster all over the house.
They had also been successful in installing downlights, while performing the complicated electrical task of fitting and powering each socket and light switch used.
Moving on to developing other parts of their home, Jess and Ry installed stairs, a boiler, a front door, and had appliances brought in for their kitchen.
Reacting to the video on TikTok, other users were quick to praise the couple for their extremely fast and efficient work.
One user wrote: “I’ve never seen a door handle in the middle before! How interesting! I love what they’ve done so far! Everything looks absolutely beautiful.”
Another said they trusted the (TikTok) algorithm to bring them back to the couple’s page.
A third raved: “I’m obsessed with this renewal journey.”
