Travis Scott was seen cheering loudly on the court during Team USA’s Olympic semi-final comeback win over Serbia on Thursday.
Now, following the rapper’s arrest in Paris early Friday morning, his message to LeBron James, one of the main catalysts for his comeback, is going viral.
“Someone tell @KingJames I need some Olympic idiots,” Scott posted on X during the match. “That match was insane.”
Scott was arrested after an altercation at a five-star hotel, local media reported.
“Police were called to the Georges V hotel and arrested Travis Scott for violence against a security guard. The latter had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Scott was seen at the USA basketball game against Serbia on Thursday hours before his arrest.
Team USA needed a fourth-quarter comeback to beat Serbia and advance to the gold medal game.
The American rapper, who is in Paris for the Olympic events, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was arrested at around 5 a.m., a few steps from the Champs Elysees.
According to a police source to the Daily Mail, the rapper was drunk at the time of the confrontation.
This is not Scott’s first run-in with the law, as he was arrested in June in Miami while on a yacht.
Scott sat alongside Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin during the U.S. win over Serbia, which saw the Americans complete a fourth-quarter comeback as they began the period down by 13 points.
James, along with Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, were the main catalysts that allowed the United States to advance to the gold medal game on Saturday against host France.
Scott is believed to still be in police custody early in the afternoon in Paris.
