The Green Bay Packers face an anxious wait to find out the extent of the lower leg injury suffered by star quarterback Jordan Love on Friday night.

Love’s leg buckled awkwardly under the weight of a tackle as he tried to make a play to keep the Packers alive in the final six seconds of their 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 25-year-old, who signed a four-year, $220 million contract in July, was left pacing in pain as medical staff rushed to treat him.

Love was able to walk off the field, but needed help from medical staff and Packers running back Josh Jacobs to get back to the locker room.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he “didn’t know” the extent of the damage to Love’s leg. The Packers’ next game is Sept. 15 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Jason Kelce, who tweeted several times during the Eagles’ first game since retiring, posted a message for Love.

He said: ‘I hope Jordan Love is okay, I love watching him play, I was a little nervous about this, big win for the Good Guys.’

When a fan joked that Kelce should offer his leg to Love, Travis’ brother responded, “I promise you, for the longevity of his career, Jordan Love doesn’t want my leg!”

Opposing quarterback Jalen Hurts made sure to check on Love at the end of the game and they shared a quick hug on the sidelines.

Love’s injury capped a miserable night for the Packers, who lost their opener in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Saquon Barkley scored three touchdowns in his Philadelphia debut to lead the Eagles to victory over a potential NFC playoff rival.

Barkley ran for 109 yards and two scores and added a touchdown reception in the first NFL game played in South America.

Jalen Hurts completed 20 of 34 passes for 278 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and AJ Brown had five receptions for 119 yards and a TD.

Love and Jayden Reed led the Packers in a game that featured seven lead changes. Before his injury, Love threw for 260 yards, two touchdowns and one interception on 17-of-34 passing.

Reed had 171 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. Josh Jacobs had 84 yards on 16 carries in his first game with Green Bay.
