A tattooed sex worker and OnlyFans star has claimed her brush with the law is making her rich and famous, after her mugshots went viral on social media.
Abbie Newman, 28, of Alabama, was recently arrested on two separate occasions for theft and disorderly conduct.
Her glamorous mugshots were then posted on the popular Instagram account. Mugshawtyswho shares mugshots of attractive women with his 680,000 followers, helping Abbie quickly become a viral star.
“I didn’t even know until I got out of jail and saw that all my social media sites had gained followers and were tagging me everywhere with my mugshot,” Abbie told DailyMail.com.
Alabama mom Abbie Newman, 28, has made thousands of dollars from OnlyFans after her ‘hot mugshots’ went viral on social media following two separate arrests.
The tattooed sex worker was arrested for fighting in public last April and charged with disorderly conduct, and then ended up back in jail over Thanksgiving for shoplifting.
“I guess it all worked out,” he added, laughing.
Thanks to her viral fame, the mother of one was able to sell X-rated photos and videos of herself to her new followers on platforms like Onlyfans and Snapchat, earning her $24,000 in a single week.
“I was very depressed right before the arrest and I didn’t even log on [to OnlyFans] for a long time,’ he explained.
“Then I made $24,000 in a week after I got out of jail, just from clients adding my Snapchat, Twitter and Onlyfans.”
Abbie said she was going through a rough patch in her life during her arrests last year and believed going viral could have saved her life.
“I was going through a lot at the time. I just had a miscarriage and I wasn’t myself, I was a complete mess,” she explained.
“Honestly, going to jail not only helped me financially, but it also saved my life in a way.”

‘I’m a recovering heroin addict. I have been sober for six years and after the miscarriage I was going down a dark path of depression. I have BPD [borderline personality disorder] and post-traumatic stress disorder [post traumatic stress disorder] and I wasn’t taking my meds, so I wasn’t myself.
“So going viral helped me not only pay off my debts and live a more comfortable life, but it also helped me become myself again.”
Abbie believes her arrest and subsequent fame are a blessing in disguise.
‘I’m very glad it happened. “Most people don’t get second chances, and I’m probably on my 10th chance already, so it’s really a blessing how it all turned out,” she said.
As a result of her online popularity, Abbie even flew to New York City to appear on The Steve Wilkos Show, where she broke surprising news to a family member.

“I was in jail until Thanksgiving and spent four days in total. I just got parole for it. “They weren’t very serious charges at all, which makes this whole thing crazy to me,” he said.
Abbie says she’s excited to continue growing her social media following and wants to return to the small screen, admitting she would “definitely” love to appear in The Zeus Network’s Baddies franchise.
‘I always wanted to do something related to television. My friends have always asked me to go on Baddies. [laughs]. “I’d love to,” she said.
