The story of the series focuses on the people who survived a crash on a plane heading from Sydney to Los Angeles.
The series’ cast includes Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, Yunjin Kim, Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O’Quinn, Naveen Andrews, Michael Emerson, Dominic Monaghan and Ken Leung.
The numbers included in the initial tweet (4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42) had multiple meanings in relation to the program.
They referenced lottery numbers played by Garcia’s character, Hugo “Hurley” Reyes; atomic numbers; and numbers in an equation that predicted “a bad omen,” according to the outlet.
Several fans took to social media to celebrate the news, with one calling the series the “BEST TV SHOW OF ALL TIME,” while another said the news hit him with a “wave of nostalgia.”
