A woman was left shocked after one of her neighbors left threatening letters on her apartment door complaining about her dogs barking.
Davina Simona, from Sherwood, Brisbane, was baffled when she found notes from an anonymous local giving her a “final warning” about her pets’ behaviour.
“If you insist on keeping dogs (especially a large one) in a unit the size of a large bathroom, get each of those stupid, stupid strays a bark collar and have a little consideration for the others,” said one angry notes.
The other note called his bully XL and his mini dachshund “mongrels” and said it was his “last warning” to keep them under control.
“Fix it or report it to the authorities,” the neighbor scribbled in a notebook.
Simona told Daily Mail Australia she had no idea who was behind the angry letters because her immediate neighbors “love our doggos”.
A Brisbane woman has been given a ‘final warning’ by a furious neighbor because her XL bully and mini dachshund (pictured center and left) bark while she is outside her home.
He said he had taken a number of precautions to prevent his dogs’ barking from disturbing his neighbors, including wearing anti-bark collars while he was away from home.
However, a few days before receiving the angry notes, she had tried leaving the collars off for a while to see if her dogs’ behavior had changed at all.
“This obviously didn’t work, so every time I’m out of the house I put it back on,” he said.
Ms Simona was confused by the notes, so she posted them on a neighborhood Facebook group, prompting a local to send her an angry message.
This person said that it was his grandfather who had sent the anonymous letters..
Mrs. Simona was taken aback by this revelation because, as far as she knew, neither she nor her dogs had ever had any problems with an older man.
“You have taken to Facebook to threaten an old man who doesn’t use Facebook with your stupid big dogs and those little dachshunds and the little boy who cries all the time,” the furious local wrote.
“I know everything about your backyard and where you live.”
The woman, Davina Simona, said she had no idea who the neighbor was who called her beloved dogs “brainless mutts” (pictured).
They added that they would report Simona to “the authorities” if the dogs continued barking.
Ms Simona said she did not want to feel like we were “walking on eggshells in our own homes”, adding: “The whole situation is a mystery and I want to get to the bottom of it.”
She also revealed that she had been in contact with her immediate neighbors and asked them to contact her if they heard the dogs barking so she could return home.
Addressing hurtful comments about the size of his unit, he admitted that his “living circumstances are not ideal for our oldest son.”
‘I’m a big animal lover… It’s a home anyway. We would love to have a big house again within our budget.’
He added that his XL bully, Zeus, was “the sweetest, most caring boy” who had been complimented on his behavior by “anyone who ever crossed his path.”
