A harrowing video captured the moment a heroic New Hampshire teenager jumped onto a runaway boat that was spinning wildly out of control on a popular lake.
Brady Procon, 17, sprang into action when a boating lesson on Lake Winnipesaukee went horribly wrong, leaving an instructor overboard and a speedboat spinning in circles.
“I was sitting on the porch and my dad yelled that there was a runaway boat in the wake zone,” Procon said. Stone wall.
The quick-thinking teenager and his father, Jeremy, revealed the chain of events that led to their son’s daring rescue.
The boat, owned by a local sailing association, was being operated by an instructor who was teaching children to sail when he hit a tennis ball used to teach manoeuvres.

The boat belonged to a local sailing association and the instructor, who was teaching children to sail at the time, picked up a tennis ball that was used to teach maneuvers.
But as he leaned down to grab it, one of the boys’ boats capsized, causing the mast to hit the instructor’s throttle, throwing him into the water and sending the boat into a spiral.
With the kids nearby, neighbor Justin King showed up on his jet ski and told Brady to jump in the back.
After safely guiding the boys away from the drifting boat, King and Brady approached the out-of-control vessel.
The brave teenager then jumped onto the out-of-control boat and eventually stopped it.
“I jumped off my jet ski, got on his jet ski and then he maneuvered his jet ski over to the boat so I could jump on,” Procon said. Western mass news.
After guiding the boys away from the drifting boat, King and Brady approached the out-of-control boat. The teen jumped onto the out-of-control boat and eventually brought it to a stop.
“I don’t know. I didn’t think about it, it just came to me,” Procon said.
“I’m a little bit, I’m realizing what I did, a little bit scared, but it was fun, I would do it again,” Procon said.
Fortunately there were no injuries.
“They called me a hero and all that, but I wouldn’t say I was a hero, I think anyone would have done it if they had the chance to do it.”
Now, Procon is thinking about his next step and plans to enlist in the Navy this fall.
“To be in any branch of the military, you have to be brave, I guess. I wouldn’t even consider what I did brave, but rather a kind of not thinking, just doing.”
