Eight people were injured after a gunman opened fire in a Massachusetts town early Sunday morning.
Police responded to several 911 calls in the area of 100 Lindberg Avenue in Methuen, about 25 miles north of Boston, around 1:55 a.m.
Shots were fired at a party attended by hundreds of people that had been organized on social media.
Police said seven people were hit by gunfire and an eighth was wounded while fleeing the scene. Two of the victims are in critical condition, according to initial reports.
It appears that the party was attended primarily by young people, as the victims’ ages ranged from adolescence to 22 years old.
Police are reviewing security footage from businesses in the area.
No possible suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
