Marcia Hines has been rushed to hospital following a “medical emergency”, Daily Mail Australia has learned.
The Australia Idol judge, 70, collapsed in her dressing room on the set of the reality show on Sunday and injured her head in the fall.
A source told Daily Mail Australia that Hines was “ready to perform” on the show before he collapsed and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Daily Mail Australia understands Hines is “now in a stable condition” and that his collapse was likely due to his diabetes.
She will not appear on Australian Idol tonight and Guy Sebastian will act as a judge.

Hines judges the singing competition alongside Amy Shark and Kyle Sandilands.
Host Ricki-Lee Coulter told viewers that Hines would be absent at the start of Sunday’s episode.
The singer has suffered from type 1 diabetes for almost 40 years.
‘You may have noticed that we are missing someone very important and very special for Idol, important and very special for the Idol family. Unfortunately Marcia is not feeling well and she cannot join us tonight,” she said.
Sandilands then chimed in: ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry.’ That is a real disdain. That is a real disdain. They took her out of here in an ambulance.
‘Just so everyone knows. She is fine. She is fine. But she didn’t call simply because she had a headache. She fell.’
