Manchester United have had just one player included in the FA Cup squad of the round by sports data company SofaScore.
The Red Devils came from behind to claim a dramatic 4-3 win over rivals Liverpool in extra time to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
It was one of the best rounds of FA Cup action in some time, as Coventry beat Wolves 3-2 in an equally action-packed match, while Chelsea made life difficult in a 4-2 victory against Leicester.
Man City’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle was the most processional of the round, but Pep Guardiola’s side had more players included in Sofascore’s XI than any other side who made the quarter-finals.
So who is in the Sofascore quarter-final team? Mail Sport takes a look.

GOALIE
José Sa (Wolves) – 8.4
Wolves crashed out of the FA Cup after two stoppage-time goals from Coventry, but the Championship side should have finished the game much earlier in the second half.
With Gary O’Neil’s team trailing 1-0 and struggling to contain the Sky Blues, the goalkeeper made some very impressive saves.
He made a vital double save to deny Kasey Palmer and then Ellis on the rebound, while also making saves from Milan van Ewijk, Haji Wright and Josh Eccles.
His efforts appeared to be rewarded after two late goals appeared to give Wolves the lead – only for Coventry to score in the seventh and tenth minutes of injury time to seal the shock victory.
Sa conceded three goals, but he couldn’t have done much against any of them.
Jose Sa made a number of vital saves which kept Wolves in the game despite being 1-0 down.
DEFENDERS
Bobby Thomas – 7.5
Good overall effort from the Coventry City defender who read the danger well and was quick to come out of his area when they were put under pressure.
He got the better of Wolves striker Nathan Fraser, replaced at the hour mark by Leon Chiwome – who didn’t really pose any problems for him either.
Defensively, he perhaps could have done better for Wolves’ second goal, when a dropped shoulder from Rayan Ait-Nouri left him behind before the ball was passed to Hugo Bueno.
He more than made up for it with a great header to equalize Simms in the 97th minute.
Bobby Thomas defended well and his header allowed Ellis Simms to equalize
Akanji Manual – 7.7
Manchester City were the only team in the quarter-finals to keep a clean sheet, so it’s no surprise that two of their defenders join this team.
However, it was Swiss international Akanji who mobilized the defense by making some important tackles and interceptions during the match.
Alexander Isak tried to escape onto his shoulder once or twice, but Akanji recovered and never looked like he needed to practice too much.
Manuel Akanji looked comfortable at the heart of Manchester City’s defense against Newcastle
Josko Gvardiol – 7.4
The Croatian returned to the pitch for the first time since Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over Brentford on February 5.
Jacob Murphy’s pace presented him with a stern test, but Gvardiol did well to prevail.
Anthony Gordon also tried his luck, but also in vain for the Magpies.
It has been a difficult first season at the Etihad for the 22-year-old, but he put in a very solid performance on Saturday.
Josko Gvardiol resisted threats from Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy very well
FIELDS
Alexis MacAllister – 8.1
The Argentine midfielder scored in his third consecutive game to bring the Reds level after Scott McTominay’s opener for the Red Devils.
His thunderous effort was deflected into the back of the net and he led their response with his composure in midfield.
He has arguably been Liverpool’s best player in recent games and it was another impressive performance from the former Brighton star despite his extra-time collapse.
Alexis Mac Allister exploded for Liverpool’s equalizer and was impressive in midfield
Scott McTominay – 8.4
Despite United’s incredible comeback, the Scotland international is the only Manchester United player to feature in Sofascore’s best XI.
Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho would surely have been contenders to make this team after their excellent performances at Old Trafford.
McTominay, who was on the verge of being sold this summer, continues to demonstrate his importance by shooting his 10th of the season.
The 27-year-old really should have doubled their lead when they were ahead, but he provided the assist that allowed Marcus Rashford to make it 3-3 in extra time.
He is often criticized for his performances on the pitch, but with the number of important goals he scores, McTominay is a valuable asset.

OFFENSIVE BACKGROUNDS
Cole Palmer – 8.4
The England star continues to be Chelsea’s shining light in what has been a difficult season.
Chelsea fans were left frustrated when Raheem Sterling took the ball away from Palmer before missing his penalty, which could have put them 2-0 up against Leicester.
Later in the first half the two linked up with Palmer putting the ball into the back of the net.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side would make life difficult in the second half, but he continued to be a threat for the Foxes.
He provided the decisive moment late in the match with his back pass for Carney Chukwuemeka’s winner.
Cole Palmer produced another impressive performance in Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Leicester.
Bernardo Silva – 9
The Portugal international punished Newcastle by scoring both goals for Manchester City at the Etihad.
Although there was an element of luck as they were both deflected by a Newcastle player, he was rewarded for aiming after the Magpies moved away and invited him to shoot.
Silva is not known for his goals, but he now has nine for the season, and Eddie Howe will be disappointed his players did not try harder to stop him.
There were a few more classy touches from Silva during the match, and on this day he looked like the best player on the pitch.

Carney Chukwuemeka – 8.2
Not a bad effort to make Sofascore’s selection when he was only brought in in the 78th minute.
There were boos when he entered the field, but that was more due to the fact that Mykhailo Mudryk was being replaced and not Raheem Sterling.
Pochettino could, however, be happy with the changes he made as Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke scored in stoppage time.
Chukwuemeka doesn’t play much but he showed his quality with a back and forth with Palmer before passing the ball into the corner.
A knee injury has limited his appearances to just nine in all competitions this season and he will be hoping he can finish his season strong after his positive impact against the Foxes.
Carney Chukwuemeka came off the bench to score Chelsea’s winner
Rayan Aït-Nouri (8.4)
The 22-year-old Algeria international may have found himself on the losing side, but his performance showed why clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with him.
He played a big part in both goals, the first being a cool finish into the back of the net to draw Wolves level with seven minutes remaining in the 90.
Then five minutes later he launched into a dangerous run before passing the ball to Bueno who scored his first senior goal.
He often came inside as an inverted winger and posed a threat whenever he ran towards defenders.
Rayan Ait-Nouri helped turn things around for Wolves, before Coventry’s spectacular comeback
STRIKER
Ellis Simms – 9.5
Sofascore’s highest-rated player of the FA Cup quarter-finals after his brace in Coventry’s 3-2 win over Wolves.
The only criticism is that he should have scored a hat-trick as he failed to head home from a square pass from Jake Bidwell after Palmer’s shot had been saved.
He finally gave Coventry the lead after 53 minutes when he headed home with his hip – a deserved goal after leading the line well against a Premier League opponent.
Ellis Simms was Coventry City’s hero with two goals and an assist against Wolves
And when all seemed lost, he scored again at the far post to make it 2-2, before setting up Haji Wright for the winner.
They are just one game away from the FA Cup final, but given his performance against Wolves, Manchester United will have to be wary of him in the next round.
