McDonald’s Australia has reinvented the Quarter Pounder just in time for the launch of its second menu of the season.
The new mid-winter menu includes the new Quarter Pounder BBQ Bacon and Crispy Onions burger and will be available from July 7.
It’s the classic Quarter Pounder with added bacon and crispy onions, smothered in barbecue sauce, topped with the store’s famous 100 percent beef patty, pickles and cheese.
Sasha Tyers looks forward to McDonald’s launching its mozzarella sticks every year, her favorite McDonald’s product.
The Quarter Pounder Deluxe burger and the new Quarter Pounder BBQ Bacon and Crispy Onions will be available at McDonald’s across Australia from Wednesday 7 July.
The Quarter Pounder Deluxe will also return. The iconic burger gets a fresh, upmarket twist with crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes and pickles, plus cheese and onions, and a dollop of mustard, ketchup and McChicken sauce.
Fans of the loaded burger call it “a total winner” and some even say it’s the best burger McDonald’s has ever released.
Mozzarella sticks with sweet chilli sauce are also set to make a comeback on Maccas’ winter menu.
This appetizer has already won thousands of fans for its crispy, golden crust and melted mozzarella filling. It comes with a sweet, spicy dipping sauce.
Sasha Tyers praised how mozzarella sticks are her “favourite Maccas item” in a video that went viral on TikTok.
“I wish McDonald’s had them all year round, every time they come back in the winter I eat too many,” she said. “I’m actually obsessed.”
“You have my heart,” another fan agreed.
An Australian who heard that mozzarella sticks were making a comeback didn’t let anything stop him from enjoying Macca’s tasty treat.
“My diet can start tomorrow,” he said.
Liz Whitbread, Senior Brand Manager, McDonald’s Australia, said: ‘Our winter menu is all about adding a seasonal twist to classic McDonald’s flavours.
‘With a fresh twist on one of our most beloved burgers… we’re warming up Macca’s winter menu and satisfying those seasonal cravings.’
Brisbane-based health guru Bec Hargrave regularly shares videos of her Macca’s obsession online, complete with recipes for making the iconic burgers and sauces at home.
