“I would read other people’s lines and say, ‘Oh, they have much more interesting things. They are having more fun. What’s my character doing?” It was always about, “You’ve got the wig on. You have the muscles. You have the costume. Where’s the enlightenment?” Yes, I’m part of this big thing, but I’m probably pretty replaceable.
As a result, Chris said in the article that he would like to be taken more seriously as an actor, including working outside of the action genre.
He said he wants to take the job more seriously without being “a pretentious, overly conceited jerk.”
