Kylian Mbappé described as “fake news” a report that police are investigating a rape at a hotel where he was staying with friends in Sweden.
The footballer was visiting Sweden with friends from Wednesday to Friday of last week, staying at the Bank Hotel in the city centre.
On Thursday, the Real Madrid star visited the Chez Jolie restaurant, before heading to the V nightclub and finally returning to his hotel in a black van with his entourage.

But Mbappé shared a newspaper article about X’s alleged rape and wrote: ‘Fake news! “It’s becoming so predictable, just before the hearing as if by chance,” referring to tomorrow’s hearing as part of his fight against his former club, PSG, over £46m in unpaid wages and bonuses.

On Thursday, the Real Madrid star visited the Chez Jolie restaurant (pictured left after leaving the restaurant with his friends), before heading to the V nightclub and finally returning to his hotel in a black van with his entourage .
According to Aftonbladet, investigators and a forensic unit were at the scene of the alleged crime on Monday.
The newspaper reported that alarm about the alleged rape arose when the woman “seeked care” at a local hospital.
Mbappé left Sweden’s Bromma airport on Friday in a private jet.
The prosecutor in charge of the rape investigation declined to comment on the case, telling local media: “I won’t say anything about this.”
Stockholm police issued a similar statement to MailOnline through their spokesperson Carina Skagerlind: “The police can neither confirm nor deny such a case.”
According to Aftonbladet, no suspect has yet been identified in the case.
MailOnline has contacted the local prosecutor’s office and Bank Hotel for comment.
This comes ahead of tomorrow’s hearing into £46m in unpaid bonuses and wages that PSG must pay Mbappe.
Mbappe was due to receive a signing bonus in February and is owed unpaid wages for his seven years in Paris before being transferred to Real Madrid in June.
PSG has refused to pay the sum and follows the decision of the LFP, the governing body of French professional football.
Mbappe is understood to have contacted UEFA over the pay dispute last month.
On Thursday night, when Mbappé was seen at the V nightclub in Stockholm, it was the same night that his French teammates beat Israel 4-1.

Mbappé was part of the French team that won the World Cup in 2018 and has scored 48 goals in 86 international matches for his country, making him France’s third-highest scorer of all time.
Mbappé has faced criticism in his home country, France, for missing his Nations League matches against Israel and Belgium while he was available to play for his club, Real Madrid.
The footballer suffered a hamstring muscle injury last month but returned to the field off the bench in his club’s Champions League defeat to Lille last Wednesday before apparently flying to Stockholm.
He also played in most of Real Madrid’s game against Villarreal at the weekend, but indicated he now needed more rest as part of his recovery from his hamstring injury.
French coach Didier Deschamps had announced he was leaving Mbappé out of the national team lineup, saying the 25-year-old lacked preparation and had played too few games.
In a video released by the French Football Federation (FFF) on Monday, Deschamps said: “Kylian embodies many things… the interests of the clubs and the interests of the national teams inevitably diverge.”
“We must also remember that the employer is the club, not the federation.”
Mbappe is France’s captain and with him and vice-captain Antoine Griezmann missing games, Deschamps said others had to take up the role.
