New Delhi:

Comedy robbery Crew is riding high at the box office and actor Kriti Sanon says they would like to reunite along with co-stars Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan for a possible sequel.

Crew follows three flight attendants – played by Tabu, Kareena and Kriti – whose future seems uncertain as their airline Kohinoor is on the brink of bankruptcy, until they find a dead passenger smuggling gold biscuits.

Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the film has grossed Rs 70.73 crore worldwide within four days of its release. The film is produced by Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network and Balaji Motion Pictures.

Kriti said that she is ready to reprise the role of nerdy dreamer Divya Rana Crewif writers Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri come up with a good script.

“People loved it. We would love to come back and do something fun. It obviously puts a lot of pressure on the writers… It’s the audience that motivates the creators for a sequel. When they love something so much” You get the feeling that you can definitely do something. So I hope so,” the actor told PTI in an interview.

Crew was one of the most anticipated films of the year, thanks to its lead actors, and the success of the film, also starring Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma, proves that audiences come to cinemas to watch good content, without gender.

“It’s nice to see the reactions to the content. Then it doesn’t matter if it’s a man or a woman. It’s just the content that was loved, something that cinema should actually strive for… Where the box office figures are wrong ‘It doesn’t depend on a male-centric film or female-centric films, and it’s just about the content. It doesn’t have to be led by a man to attract the audience to the theater the actor said.

Crew, Kriti said, is an unprecedented film in Indian cinema as heist films in the country usually revolve around male leads. “…But we haven’t seen a movie with three women yet. Here you have three women belonging to different generations, almost a decade apart, with solid, unique roles. People love chemistry too and I’m so happy about it “It’s a threesome that people never imagined and that made it exciting,” she said.

When asked about her future projects, the actor said that she is yet to sign another film as she is in a place where she doesn’t want to do films for the sake of it. She prefers to bask in the success of her latest project.

“I’m going to wait for something that makes me feel like I can take it to the next level. I don’t want to repeat myself. I want to do something that pushes me to get out of bed. I’ve read a lot of scripts and going for stories and meetings. Nothing has affected me enough,” she added.

Kriti was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and her next release is Do Pattiwhich also marks her production debut.
