They say marriage is like a rollercoaster, and at this Kent wedding venue couples can train for the experience.
That’s because it boasts its own fairground, the UK’s largest privately owned funfair, which features classic rides, food stalls, retro carnival games, waltzes, bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, a helter-skelter and, the ultimate in marriage training, a 35mph rollercoaster, complete with a runaway train theme.
The venue is called Marleybrook House and its website promises that honeymooners will be “aching with laughter.”
There are also plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained: from children’s attractions in the fairground to play areas with swings, slides, a climbing frame and a trampoline.
The quirky concept has attracted many positive reviews, with guests saying they had a great time at the amusement park. Google Reviews and some couples describe it as the “best day” of their lives.

One reviewer wrote: “We had an amazing day at Marleybrook. The venue is beautiful and was the centre of attention for guests even before we had the crazy fun fair.”
Once the home of singer and actress Eartha Kitt, Marleybrook House was used for many years as a rural retreat for famous faces in the world of showbiz.
It was purchased by its current owners in 2006 and opened its doors for weddings and events in 2013.
The privately owned theme park is the largest in the UK and has attracted many positive reviews.

The rural retreat is spread over 10 acres of gardens, with three different ceremony areas to choose from, including a garden terrace, a walled garden and the indoor oak barn.
According to its website: “It is no surprise that Marleybrook House has entertained guests throughout its history.
‘As your guests soak up the quintessential English countryside setting, with its budding flowers and budding romance, it’s almost like stepping onto the set of Darling Buds of May.’
