After being spotted together at Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan’s wedding, it was widely reported that actors Imran Khan and Lekha Washington were dating. A recent update from Money check claims that the couple has now rented an apartment together in Bandra, Mumbai from filmmaker Karan Johar. According to the report, “Actor Imran Khan and his girlfriend Lekha Washington have rented a house in Mumbai for Rs 9 lakh per month. The couple rented the Bandra apartment from Bollywood director Karan Johar.” The report also stated that the apartment is located by the sea, adjacent to a building where Imran’s uncle, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, once rented an apartment. The famous couple will now move into the three-storey apartment in Clefepete on the chic Carter Road. The lease was officially recorded on March 20, 2024 and is valid for three years, the report said, citing real estate database platform Zapkey as the source.
A few days ago, Imran Khan confirmed his relationship with Lekha Washington during a conversation with Fashion. The actor said, “The speculation that I am in a relationship with Lekha Washington is true. I am divorced and separated since February 2019.”
Imran Khan continued: “There is a story where Lekha is a homewrecker, which enrages me because not only is it misogynistic, but it also takes away my agency as an individual.”
Talking about his relationship, Imran Khan also said, “Lekha and I bonded during the lockdown, a year and a half after I separated from Avantika and almost a year after she separated from her partner, and not from her husband as before. widely reported.”
For those unfamiliar, Imran Khan married Avantika Malik Khan in 2011. They welcomed their daughter Imara in 2014. Imran and Avantika separated in 2019.
Rumors that Imran Khan was dating Lekha Washington started doing the rounds when he attended Ira Khan’s wedding festivities with Lekha of his cousin and Aamir Khan’s daughter. The duo was captured together in several images. Actor-director Danish Husain also shared pictures of them looking stylish at various ceremonies. In a picture from Nupur Shikhare and Ira Khan’s “white wedding”, Lekha looked gorgeous in a red dress, while Imran looked sharp in a suit. There were also more photos of the duo with other guests at the events.
