Violet Affleck has vehemently defended the return of mandatory mask-wearing and has also spoken out against her father Ben Affleck’s impending divorce from his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.
The 18-year-old was spotted over the weekend in a Dolce and Gabbana dress that her famous stepmother, 55, wore on a Valentine’s date with Ben, 51, last year – just months before their short-lived marriage fell apart.
Violet, whose mother is Jennifer Garner, reportedly wore the dress as a statement to show how close she is to Lopez after being left “heartbroken” by her father’s split from the On the Floor singer earlier this year.
“Violet wants her father, Ben, to stay with JLo,” the source said. “She didn’t live at home and didn’t see the extent of the breakup, but she became very close to JLo over the past few years and was heartbroken when they split.”
‘She won’t stop talking to JLo and recently enjoyed some time in the Hamptons with her.

Over the weekend, Violet, 18, whose mother is Jennifer Garner, wore a Dolce and Gabbana dress that her famous stepmother, 55, had worn on a Valentine’s date with Ben last year.
“Wearing her soon-to-be ex-stepmother’s Valentine’s Day dress was a bit of a statement – she knew what she was doing. Those close to her thought it was strange.”
Violet has maintained a relationship with Lopez despite her father’s estrangement from the singer, and the teenager joined her in the Hamptons last month.
Then on Sunday, she wore Lopez’s two-tone Dolce & Gabbana wrap dress to lunch with her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, in Los Angeles.
The source continued: “Ben is neither upset nor indifferent about Violet’s closeness to JLo, as Violet is an adult and can have relationships with whoever she wants. Unfortunately for her, wearing JLo’s dress in public will not affect Ben’s divorce at all.”
Another source added that Violet has been “supportive of them getting back together,” adding: “Violet is a daddy’s girl and a family person and is best friends with JLo’s kids. She considers them her sister and brother.
‘Ben has been amazing with Max and Emmie and is a wonderful father and father figure, so of course everyone would love for their parents to find a way to be together.
“This current issue is sad and even though it seems like things are not going to heal, Violet is in favor of them getting back together. Wearing the JLo dress was on purpose.”
The couple, who rekindled their romance in 2021 before tying the knot in July 2022, have five children from previous relationships.
“Violet is all for them getting back together,” a source told DailyMail.com. “The fact that they wore JLo’s dress was intentional.”
The Jenny from the Block singer shares Emme and Maximilian Muñiz, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck welcomed Violet, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, during his 10-year marriage to Garner.
Their children played a central role during their lavish wedding at Affleck’s estate in Georgia, where his sons walked down the aisle with Lopez.
The stepbrothers then flew to Paris to join the newlyweds on their honeymoon and were photographed enjoying a boat trip on the Seine.
Reports of marital troubles gained traction earlier this summer when it was revealed that Affleck had moved out of his $60 million mansion and into a $100,000-a-month rental home, before recently purchasing a $20.5 million bachelor pad.
They have not been photographed together since June, and DailyMail.com previously reported that divorce papers are ready.

The couple reportedly spent time together on Sunday after Lopez dropped Samuel off at Affleck’s rented home following a shopping trip to Century City Mall.
It happened hours after she appeared to send a secret message to her husband when… shared a post on Instagram with a remix of her 1999 song If You Had My Love.
In the song she warns a man that she will not tolerate him cheating on her.
She had previously asked Garner for support and advice out of fear that Affleck was on the verge of breaking his sobriety.
“JLo has been confiding in Jen because she knows she’s one of the only people in the world who would understand what she’s going through,” a source told DailyMail.com in May.
