Prince George has a long history of taking fashion inspiration from his father's wardrobe, even when he was a young child.

Prince George looked like his father’s double at the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on Sunday.

The 10-year-old royal accompanied his father Prince William, 42, to watch the final of the European football tournament, where Spain celebrated a 2-1 victory over England last night.

Real’s football fans sported smart matching navy suits, white shirts and striped ties as they watched the action unfold between the two rivals.

Despite the loss for England, William and George’s act of twinning helped lift the spirits of a dejected nation, with the young royal wearing an outfit almost identical to that of the Prince of Wales.

This isn’t the first time George’s wardrobe has been inspired by his father’s, as the ten-year-old has mirrored his dad’s look since he was a child.

Yesterday, the 10-year-old left his hair to one side and opted for a smart white shirt with a navy suit jacket, trousers and a striped tie.

In 2015, a shy Prince George arrived at Princess Charlotte’s christening wearing an outfit almost identical to the one Prince William wore to meet his newborn brother, Prince Harry, for the first time more than 30 years earlier.

George almost stole the show at his sister’s christening and looked adorable in a white shirt and red shorts.

Although the Prince of Wales’s white shirt had a little more embroidery, in all other respects George’s outfit, designed by Rachel Riley, was identical to William’s.

The young royal also continued to draw inspiration from her father’s fashion style for her outfits later in life.

Stepping off a plane hand-in-hand with Prince William in Warsaw in 2017, Prince George’s style bore a striking resemblance to his father’s when he was younger.

The Little Prince, who stayed close to his father as he walked down the steps of the plane at Warsaw Chopin Airport in July of that year, was wearing his trademark navy blue shorts, paired with a checked shirt.

The look was not far removed from the outfit his father wore when he disembarked from a private jet at Aberdeen Airport for a family summer holiday in 1984, when the Duke of Cambridge was the same age as George is now.

Prince William donned the adorable outfit to meet his brother for the first time.

In June 2022, Prince George doubled for his father in a smart navy suit and matching brown shoes as he joined his parents for their first official engagement in Cardiff.

When he was eight, George met the performers and crew taking part in a special Platinum Jubilee concert taking place in the castle grounds.

Prince George was certainly dressed for the part, wearing an outfit identical to that of his father, Prince William.

And last year, rRoyal fans were quick to spot the resemblance between Prince George and his father when a new photograph was shared to mark his 10th birthday.

As is tradition, the image was shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales on July 22, and their eldest son looked more grown up than ever.

George was dressed in a checked shirt, believed to be part of his school uniform, paired with chinos and brown suede lace-up brogues which William also favours for a smart/casual look.

George applauded while watching the game.

William and George wore matching outfits

In May, the royal father-son duo kept the tradition alive by wearing matching outfits for the FA Cup final.

George continued the tradition of taking fashion inspiration from his father in May during the FA Cup final.

Real’s football fans sported smart matching navy suits, white shirts and striped ties as they watched the dramatic clash at a packed Wembley Stadium.

Father and son enjoyed the match alongside tens of thousands of fans from the Royal Box, with 10-year-old George looking animated as he experienced the highs and lows of the cup final.

As they chatted in the front row of the box, the father-son duo laughed together as the game began. George shared a sweet moment with his dad as he smoothed back his slicked hair and William whispered in his ear:

Before kick-off, the Prince of Wales entered the field to the cheers of the crowd where the two teams were lined up.

Prince George could be seen standing and cheering in the stands as he celebrated the goals among ecstatic fans.

Sitting alongside them in the box were Manchester United managers Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Avram Glazer, cheering wildly alongside legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 41-year-old’s attendance at the opening match in north-west London in front of 90,000 fans was confirmed by palace officials at 9.30am that day.

Prince George was the spitting image of his father at the Euro 2019 final in Berlin on Sunday night.

It was not only George’s physical features that closely resembled those of his 42-year-old father, but also his clothing.

The young royal took to the stands at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium dressed in a navy suit, smart white shirt and striped tie – a sartorial choice almost identical to his father’s.

Just before the national anthem began to play, the royal father and son were seen sitting in the stands, with Prince George straightening his tie moments before William did the same.

Prince George and Prince William experienced a whole range of emotions as they watched England play Spain.

After Spain scored their first goal of the match, Prince George looked visibly disappointed as he sat next to his father.

The father and son looked visibly heartbroken as they looked out at the field with their heads in their hands.

William and George then jumped out of their seats and screamed in celebration alongside Keir Starmer when Cole Palmer scored for England.

After the celebration, Prince William turned to hug Prince George, who seemed overwhelmed with joy.

However, William and George’s joy was short-lived as Spain scored again a few minutes later, securing victory at Euro 2024.

In a post from the official Kensington Palace account just seconds after the final whistle, he expressed solidarity with the team after watching them narrowly miss out on victory.

William wrote: “It wasn’t meant to be this time. We are all so proud of you. Go England.”
