On Tuesday, a news report about a city fair went hilariously haywire when the reporter was repeatedly kissed by amorous sea lions, leading her to burst out laughing.
Giuliana Bruno was reporting live from the opening of the Altamont Fair in upstate New York on Tuesday morning when she decided to stand next to two sea lions.
“Like I said, this is probably the closest I’ve ever been to a sea lion,” she says as the sea lion to her right begins to lean toward her, almost touching her microphone.
“And now I don’t want to leave,” says the journalist, while the Noticias 10 presenters can be heard laughing from the studio.
“I feel like I’m a part of it and we’re a family now,” Bruno continues, as the sea lion rests its head on his shoulder.

At that moment, Bruno starts laughing as he tries to finish his report: “- Different things you can check out.”
She continues to laugh throughout the rest of the report, as she updates the audience on the timing of the fair.
Eventually, he manages to stop laughing long enough to tune out and identifies the sea lions as Sara and Ava.
That prompts morning news anchor Christina Arangio to tell her, “Sara likes you, Giuliana.”
“Thanks for the laughs this morning, Giuliana,” says Arangio.
Bruno tried to continue his story with laughter as one of the sea lions leaned in to give him a kiss.
She continues to laugh throughout the rest of the segment as she updates the audience on the timing of the fair.
Bruno later posted the segment herself on social media, writing: “I’m having so much fun in the morning.”
The video has since been viewed more than 336,000 times and some other journalists even praised her for the light-hearted interview.
“What an exclusive interview,” wrote Mike Koff, a photographer for a local newspaper.
Emily Welker, a morning show host, producer and reporter for KVRR Fargo in North Dakota, also wrote that she decided to start following Bruno because of the video.
“You’re a good sport to put up with those little flirtations in the air.”
Brian Cody, co-host of a morning show on a radio station in Albany, New York, said, “I loved it!”
“And I commend you for putting in the effort to create these moments,” Cody wrote.
