Luana Alonso has reportedly received a warning for her past comments from the president of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee.
The glamorous Olympic swimmer made headlines following reports that she was banned from the athletes’ village at the Paris Olympics due to her “inappropriate conduct”.
However, Paraguayan bosses reportedly told French media that there was “no big drama” over how he left the village, although he added that he made other athletes and the country’s entourage feel “uncomfortable” by acting in an “individualistic” manner.
However, he reportedly angered his bosses long before the Paris Olympics after allegedly stating that he would rather represent the United States than the South American nation.
In a report by the Spanish media AS SportCamilo Pérez, president of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, issued a warning to Alonso for his comments.

The glamorous swimmer represented Paraguay in the 100-meter butterfly at the Paris Olympics, although she previously reportedly said she would prefer to swim for the United States.
Alonso, pictured during the opening ceremony, has been told her “times will have to be much better” to swim for the United States, although the 20-year-old announced her retirement after the Games.
Perez said: ‘I read that she wants to compete for the United States.
“There is no universality in that. She arrived here (Paris) as a Paraguayan. She has to train a lot more to represent the United States, her times have to be much better.”
Alonso qualified for the Olympics through the universality system, which is designed to increase the diversity of nations participating in the Games.
The 20-year-old failed to make it past the first round of the 100m butterfly, finishing sixth and narrowly missing out on qualification for the semi-finals.
Alonso swam her heat in 1:03.09, while the slowest of those who reached the semi-finals was Keanna Macinnes of the British team with 57.90.
Perez’s comments will apparently not matter unless Alonso decides to do a U-turn on his decision to retire from the sport.
Alonso confirmed his decision to retire early in a statement on social media last week.
The young man’s comments about his desire to swim for the United States were reported by a Paraguayan publication TODAY.

Alonso said: ‘I want to represent the United States more,’ before adding ‘tHey, they threaten me that they are going to publish a statement, that I am going to go for universality.
“If I support my sport it is thanks to my sponsors, they want to humiliate me and tell me ‘it’s not a big deal that you’re going to universality’.”
She added that she preferred to return to college in Texas because of the stress she experienced in qualifying for the World Aquatics Championships.
Alonso said:Instead of supporting and saying ‘damn, we trust the athletes’, not like ‘you’re going for the World Cup, we don’t care’, that’s why it’s not a pleasure to represent Paraguay and if it were up to me, I would go back to university.’
The Paraguayan lives in the United States, where she attends Southern Methodist University near Dallas, Texas, and also swims for the Dallas Mustangs.
In an Instagram story on Sunday night, she revealed that she was back in the United States, as she posted a video of herself in a car with the American flag waving outside.
After her departure from swimming, she was seen strolling around Paris wearing clothes of her own choosing, rather than the official uniforms provided by Paraguayan team bosses.
Paraguay’s Olympic Committee reportedly told French media that there was “no major drama” over the way he left the athletes’ village.

She had also been seen hanging out with other athletes, even taking a selfie with Rafael Nadal, and was said to be distracting her teammates who were still competing at the Games.
Alonso even checked into a hotel in the French capital and visited luxury shops and restaurants, posting photos for his 600,000 followers on social media.
Larissa Schaerer, the Paraguay team’s chief of mission, said Alonso was “creating an inappropriate atmosphere within the Paraguay team.”
Alonso responded to reports that she was banned from the Olympic village by saying she was the victim of “lies and false information.”
Speaking to Le Parisien, a representative of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee reportedly said: ‘She retired from swimming and that’s why she left. She was never excluded.
‘When he stopped, he began to behave in an individualistic manner and not as a team member.
“That’s what made the other athletes and the delegation feel uncomfortable. That’s all. There’s no big drama.”
