An Australian tourist has complained of “unfair” treatment by Jetstar on a flight from Bali after airport staff told her to throw away a bottle of water.
Dasha Daley, from Perth, shared a video accusing Jetstar of denying her her “basic human right” to water during a three-and-a-half-hour flight from Bali.
“The joys of flying on Jetstar,” she captioned the TikTok video.
‘When you buy a bottle of water at the gate and then they take it away from you when you board because it’s not allowed, but then they refuse to serve you free water when you’re suffering from Bali belly.
“It should be illegal.”
Ms Daley said she had bought the bottle of water after passing through the first security check, but it was confiscated a second before boarding the flight.
She said she asked flight attendants for water twice during the flight but was denied service both times, despite suffering from an upset stomach.
Denpasar International Airport is understood to require all travellers to dispose of liquid containers larger than 100ml before boarding their flight.

Jetstar normally offers free glasses of water during flights, but Ms Daley said she only received a drink once the meal service began.
“I got a free meal because I paid for 30kg of luggage and that came with a drink so I was lucky to have some water. But the food service takes some time and I had to wait a while,” said Daley, an OnlyFans creator. Yahoo Australia.

The clip has attracted more than 42,000 views in 24 hours.
Viewers were shocked to hear about Ms Daley’s experience and called on Jetstar to improve its service.
“I’ve never heard of this before. Even the US budget airlines don’t do it,” one viewer commented.
Jetstar is known to normally offer free glasses of water during flights, but Ms Daley claimed she was twice turned away by staff.
Another added: “I have no idea why they do this! It’s ridiculous.”
A third wrote: “Sorry for your harsh rules and regulations.”
The clip prompted others to share their own experiences.
“Yes, this has just happened to me too and it’s outrageous,” wrote one Australian.
Others pointed out that all airlines have the same rule.
“It’s not Jetstar, it’s all flights to Australia from Bali. It’s an Australian government requirement,” one wrote.
