Christian Pulisic scored a goal in his fourth consecutive game for AC Milan on Sunday in Serie A against Verona.
Pulisic’s score against Verona sets his new career record for goals in a club season, surpassing the 11 he scored for Chelsea in 2019-20.
Pulisic found the back of the net on Sunday on a rebound, easily tapping the ball into an open Verona net.
Captain America also scored in both legs of Milan’s UEFA Europa League round of 16 clash against Slavia Praha and in league matches against Empoli over the past week and a half.
The United States men’s national team appears to benefit most from Pulisic’s form as the international break begins.
Pulisic scored for the fourth time in four games on Sunday in the Serie A match against Verona.
Pulisic also set his personal record for most goals in a single club season on Sunday with 12.
Pulisic is one of the United States’ most well-rounded players and will see plenty of playing time in the CONCACAF Nations League final four next week.
The USMNT will play Jamaica in one semifinal, while Mexico will face Panama in the other.
The winners will compete for continental supremacy, while the match for third place will also be played.
The United States men’s national team has won the previous two editions of the Nations League, including Pulisic converting a penalty kick in overtime against Mexico to win the inaugural event in June 2021.
Pulisic’s goalscoring form has helped AC Milan to second place in Serie A and a qualification spot for next year’s UEFA Champions League.
Pulisic is a safe bet, if healthy, to be called up to Gregg Berhalter’s squad for this summer’s Copa America.
