A 29-year-old man was murdered in a completely random and savage attack inside a Washington casino.
While the victim was standing at a table inside the Muckleshoot Casino near the town of Auburn, another man sneaked up behind him and then slashed him in the neck. The 29-year-old died in the casino.
The victim, whose identity authorities have not revealed, had no relationship with the alleged murderer. The suspect is 31 years old and police have not released the person’s name.
Auburn authorities received a call about the attack around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police spokesman Kolby Crossley highlighted how terrifying the incident was by detailing how the victim was unaware of the danger he was in:
“It’s a scary, terrible situation that occurred and this person had no idea what was going to happen to him,” Crossley said.
The murderer also made no apparent effort to conceal his horrible act.

Auburn authorities believe the two men had no relationship or contact before the murder, which occurred at the casino in front of horrified patrons.
Auburn police have launched an investigation into the matter, but investigators are faced with an incredibly discouraging and perplexing case.
Because the killer and victim had no prior contact with each other, it will be difficult to determine a motive.
But Auburn officials remain optimistic. Crossley said: “We are going to find out why, how and what drove this person to act in such an atrocious manner.”
In a news release, authorities said they responded to “a report of a stabbing at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort” around 1:30 a.m. on April 21.

The killer approached the victim from behind and then stabbed him in the neck. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
The press release went on to say that “early investigations show that this stabbing was a completely random act.”
“The victim was standing at one of the tables and the suspect (31) walked up behind him and stabbed him in the neck.”
The statement added that “detectives believe the victim and suspect had no contact prior to the incident.”
“The suspect was arrested without incident and booked into the King County Jail.”
