Caitlin Clark isn’t slowing down this season. The Indiana Fever star scored a career-high 35 points to go along with eight assists to lead her team to victory over the Dallas Wings on Sunday afternoon.
Her 35-point performance helped Clark set the single-season scoring record for a WNBA rookie. With one game remaining in the regular season, she already has 761 points.
The record was held by Seimone Augustus with 744 points in 2006. That 18-year-old record now belongs to Clark with a chance to extend it even further Thursday against the Washington Mystics.
Clark’s 329 assists this season are an all-time league record, rookie or not.
The win over the Wings also clinched Indiana’s No. 6 seed in the WNBA playoffs, meaning they will face the Connecticut Sun in the quarterfinals.

Clark’s teammate Kelsey Mitchell added 30 points in the win and the duo had all but four of Indiana’s 16 3-pointers in the game.
Clark’s rookie season has been under scrutiny as he led the Fever to a strong second half of the season after starting 1-8.
The Fever are 19-11 since the beginning of June, led by a likely rookie of the year campaign from Clark.
Now, it’s just a matter of how far Clark can extend his records before the playoffs begin.
