An elderly couple have died in what police have described as an ‘accident’ on a street known as ‘Millionaires Row’ in Melbourne’s north-east.
Police made the grim discovery of the bodies of a man and a woman at a home on Antigoni Court, Warrandyte about 9.30am on Tuesday.
A police source told Daily Mail Australia the deaths were not being treated as suspicious and claimed the couple had died tragically as a result of “accident”.
The couple are believed to be in their 70s and 80s.

However, a man believed to be the son of the deceased couple denied that his parents were involved in the “accident”. He also claimed that they had died on Sunday.
“They fell,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
‘It’s not suspicious. There were no accidents. I don’t know what they’re talking about’.
The man claimed his elderly parents, who lived on their own, had parked their car down a deep embankment in their driveway rather than directly outside the front door.
‘There is no murder. The police have reviewed the recordings.’

“The circumstances surrounding the deaths are yet to be determined,” a police spokeswoman said.
‘Police will await the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death and whether there are any suspicious circumstances.’
