Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from his wife Firerose after just seven months of marriage.
The singer, 62, married his Australian wife, 34, in October 2023, but filed for divorce in late May, according to TMZ. She was his third wife: he was married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and to Miley Cyrus’ mother, Tish, from 1993-2022.
The divorce case states that there are no minor children between them.
Tish Cyrus, who shares three children, including Miley Cyrus, with Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker, will marry Prison Break star Dominic Purcell in 2023.
Billy and Firerose had previously spoken about their romance and the unexpected way they met and eventually married.

The couple tied the knot during an ‘ethereal celebration of love’ in October and shared images taken on the special day on Instagram.
On an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show last year, Clarkson asked the couple about the story of how they met, and Firerose said, “It’s actually a funny story because I was coming out of an audition at the Sunset Gala in Hollywood.”
The couple met on a street in Los Angeles while Billy was with his dog and Firerose was leaving an audition.
‘(He) was the most beautiful German shepherd you’d ever see,’ Firerose said, ‘He was connected to some divine purpose because, at the time, we were just friends and all these years later… that was 14 years ago. All these years later, we just got married.
Their wedding took place more than a year after they initially announced their engagement and almost two years after Billy Ray’s divorce from Tish Cyrus.
The hitmaker said “I do” to the Australian singer earlier this month, just two months after his ex-wife, Tish, married Prison Break star Dominic Purcell in August.
In the caption of a joint Instagram post with his new wife, Billy sweetly wrote: ’10/10/23 will always be the beautiful and joyful day our two souls joined as one in holy matrimony.’
Cyrus said, “It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.”

This is the end of Billy’s third marriage: he is pictured with his second wife, Tish Cyrus, and daughter Miley Cyrus in 2019; He was married to Tish from 1993 to 2022.
The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker married Fireose just two months after his ex-wife Tish married Prison Break star Dominic Purcell in August.
Just a month after the split, Billy shared a sweet photo with his wife and said “there’s a lot to be grateful for.”
