Manhattan lawyers acting on behalf of the woman identified as Baby Reindeer’s real-life “stalker” warned Netflix to “preserve the evidence.”

Fiona Harvey has instructed “aggressive” New York lawyers, The Roth Law Firm, who boast of taking a “no gloves” approach to fighting for their clients.

It comes as Ms Harvey prepares to sue the creators of the hit Netflix drama, after pledging legal action against streaming giant and comedian Richard Gadd, who wrote and starred in the acclaimed miniseries.

She has stated that she is clearly the person portrayed as the sick stalker ‘Martha’ and believes the show’s creators have ‘made millions’ by telling ‘lies’ about her.

The streaming giant is advertising the seven-part drama as a “true story,” not even “based on” a true story.

And yet it shows ‘Martha’ pleading guilty and being jailed for nine months, which she claims never happened.

Harvey, 58, who lives in central London, insists it is a complete fantasy to suggest he has a criminal conviction and therefore paints a “dishonest and false picture of me”.

It took almost no time for Internet sleuths to identify her as the real ‘Martha’ from clues in the story.

She is assisted by prominent British lawyer Chris Daw KC, who assists Manhattan lawyers.

Yesterday, law firm Roth warned Netflix, Gadd and production company Clerkenwell Films not to remove any potential evidence ahead of potential legal proceedings.

It said in a statement: “Fiona Harvey, the real ‘Martha’ on the television show Baby Reindeer, who was never contacted by Netflix or any person or entity associated with the show, has retained The Roth Law Firm in connection with her legal claims related to production.

“To further this, steps are being taken to require Richard Gadd, Netflix and Clerkenwell Films, and any related individuals and entities, to take all necessary steps to preserve evidence.”

On its website, The Roth Law Firm says: ‘The Roth Law Firm is an aggressive and innovative small New York City law firm that has earned a strong reputation as a premier boutique litigation firm. “His strength lies in his ability to ‘take the gloves off’ when necessary.”

Netflix, Gadd and Clerkenwell Films have been contacted for comment.
