The girlfriend of Australian surfer Callum Robinson, murdered in Mexico, has revealed a heartbreaking message she sent saying she was looking forward to their life together.

Emily Howarth recently shared a compilation of some of the couple’s happiest moments together and said she “missed the weekends” with the 33-year-old lacrosse star who had moved to her native San Diego.

The reel featured the couple dancing, going out on a night out with friends and hanging out on the beach with their dog and included a message Callum sent her months before he was murdered along with his brother Jake and friend Jack Rhoad in an alleged carjacking.

“Nowww, this is amazing, I just watched it B2B at least 5 times,” Robinson wrote on July 17.

‘I appreciate you collecting and visually framing our memories, something you are exceptionally good at and which I greatly enjoy.

“I’m excited to create many more with you veryyyyyy soon.”

Three Mexican citizens, alleged ringleader Jesús Gerardo García Cota, his girlfriend Ari Gisel García Cota and his brother Christian Alejandro García, have been arrested and charged with kidnapping.

Mexican prosecutors have said they believe the surfers were killed in a robbery after they disappeared in the Baja California region on April 27.

The remains of the three men were found at the bottom of a well, about 2 kilometers from Rosarito, where they had been registered in an AIrbnb but did not appear.

Each had a single gunshot wound to the head.

The Australian brother’s parents, Martin and Debra Robinson, traveled to the region and spoke from San Diego, where they shared their grief over the deaths of their children.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Callum and Jake have been murdered,” Mrs Robinson said.

‘Our hearts are broken and the world has become a darker place for us.

‘We are also saddened by the loss of Carter Rhoad, a close friend.

‘They were young people who enjoyed their passion for surfing together.

‘Now is the time to bring them home, to family and friends, and to the waves of the ocean in Australia. Please live bigger, shine brighter and love stronger in her memory.’

He said he thanked those who offered their condolences and said they had been “overwhelmed by the outpouring of emotions and support.”

“We have always been very proud of their academic and sporting achievements and admire their life choices,” Mrs Robinson said.

He spoke of Callum’s “larger than life character” and his sporting achievements, including playing professional lacrosse in the United States.

He described Jake as a “happy, gentle, compassionate soul” who was pursuing a career in medicine.

“Jake’s passion was surfing and it was no coincidence that many of the hospitals he worked at were near surfing beaches.”

In even more tragic circumstances, the brothers’ American friend, Jack Carter Rhoad, was engaged to be married within months.

The San Diego recruiter was marrying his fiancée Natalie Wiertz and had joined Australian brothers Callum and Jake Robinson on a road trip along the Pacific coast before their big day.

Natalie, 32, had just enjoyed her bachelorette party in Key West, Florida, in April, where the radiant bride-to-be was photographed partying with her friends.

Jack Carter Rhode, 33, was due to marry his fiancée Natalie Wiertz, 32, this summer, but he was murdered along with two friends on a surfing trip to Mexico.

Tragically, the clock is still ticking on the website for what was to be their wedding this August in Columbus, Ohio.

Carter had visited Mexico throughout his adult life after volunteering for a medical mission in Guatemala when he was 19.

“Obstacles are just opportunities in disguise,” he wrote on his LinkedIn page. ‘They can be scary or they can be funny, it just depends on how you look at them.

“Building genuine relationships is one of the most rewarding things in life and every day I am humbled by the people around me.”

Natalie, a clothing designer for Vanity Fair Brands in San Diego, looked radiant as friends celebrated their upcoming wedding under the Florida sun.

Carter had joined his friends on the road trip south after the two brothers enjoyed a weekend at the Coachella Festival.

Baja California Attorney General María Andrade Ramírez said the murder investigation would look into whether the men were killed in an alleged robbery.
