Mitchell has attracted attention with a number of comments throughout his fighting career, including in 2022, when he challenged podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan to a debate about whether the Earth was flat, where he also revealed that he does not believe in the gravity.

In his most recent video, Mitchell told his nearly half a million followers that he planned to raise his son himself because of his views on homosexuals and his belief that vaccines cause autism.
“I want to encourage you not to vaccinate your children because I think it is bad for their health,” the video began.
‘It could potentially kill them. Give them some kind of, um, make them autistic. Seriously, these vaccines are poisonous. Don’t vaccinate your children.’
Pointing to his son, the wrestler said he will keep him out of school because he claims this will prevent him from becoming gay, a communist or a Satanist, which he linked to the lack of religious teachings in education.
‘From public schools they took the most valuable book of all time. The number one bestselling book of all time. The oldest and most accurate historical document that has ever existed: the Bible.
‘They pulled him out of the schools and replaced him with Edgar Allen Poe, who moved in with his cousin. My son won’t read any Edgar Allen Poe.
‘He’s going to be reading the Bible. That’s the way things are and I’m just telling you that if you don’t teach your son these things, he’ll throw it to the devil. We’re not going to let that happen here.’

Mitchell’s Instagram video drew ridicule from some viewers, with one commenting, “I wouldn’t worry about someone twisting your words when they’re already so incomprehensible.”
‘Wow! As a Christian, it saddens me that you are so ignorant! I will pray for you,’ said another.
A third chimed in: “I’m literally watching the dumbest, most uninformed person on the planet.”
Mitchell has competed in the UFC since 2018, earning more than a dozen victories and sparking controversy with some of his opinions.
Among those Mitchell has faced in this time is podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan, whom he challenged to a debate in 2022 when he accused Rogan of ‘talking shit’ about him and his mother.
The clash seemed to arise from their different views on the shape of the Earth, as Mitchell said: “My mom and I will tell you right now that the Earth is flat!”
“It doesn’t move at 600-odd miles per hour, it doesn’t spin at a thousand miles per hour, and it floats through the universe constantly, okay?” she added.

‘This Earth is flat, it is fixed and the stars and so on revolve around us. The sun revolves around us and I can prove it… They are trying to feed you these lies to make you believe that science is right.’
The wrestler drew special attention during the video, as he stated that not only is the Earth flat, but that gravity “is not real.”
‘It’s density. When this paper falls it is because it is denser than the world around it, not because of something magical called gravity.
‘There is no proof of gravity, brother, there is only proof of density, that is why hot air balloons float, because hot air is less dense.’
