A state lawmaker is “seeking help” after yelling insults at patrons and staff while appearing drunk at a bar.
Kevin Boyle, a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, told viewers, “Do you know who I am?” after being told to go home.
No one was spared from his three-minute rant caught on camera, where he called them everything from “idiots” and “morons” to “traitors” and “actors.”
He threatened to “put an end to this bar” and block promotions from who he mistakenly thought were military men drinking at Gaul & Co Malt House in Rockledge, Pennsylvania.
‘You don’t think I’m going to prevent your promotion in the United States Army?’ She screamed in the video posted on social media.

People in the bar begged Boyle to leave, saying he was drunk or high, including one who said, “Listen, you had too much to drink, just go home.”
However, Boyle, 44, became more belligerent as the video progressed, declaring: “By the way, I can take this bar down.”
One of the customers was confused by his rant and said: “no one said a word to you, you’re the one who started shooting.”
‘Why do you act this way? Is it American military intelligence and traitors and…?’ he responded, prompting one customer to say that ‘he has no idea where the hell he is.’
“You idiots, you fucking morons… you’re all fucking actors, you’re not from here… you’re all fucking traitors, US military intelligence,” he continued.
‘You’re not going to do anything, you’re not going to do anything. Don’t you think I’m going to prevent your promotion in the United States Army?

The customers he was addressing told him they weren’t in the military and didn’t understand why he was ranting about military intelligence.
Finally, the waitress lost patience and yelled at him to “get off the fucking bar.”
Boyle refused to go as the waiter continued to tell him to come out and remove his hand from her face while pointing at her.
He asked if his bill had been paid and was told yes, before explaining: “I don’t want to be a jerk… I don’t want to be a jerk.”
“Well, you are,” the waiter responded, again telling him to leave.
Boyle said she was being “very aggressive” and told him “you can’t talk to me like that, I’ll close your damn bar, this bar is finished.”
‘Do you know who the fuck I am? This bar will be finished tomorrow, do you know who the fuck I am? he continued.

Boyle has barely been seen in public in recent months, has missed numerous House sessions and has not updated his official social media since September.
Pennsylvania House Democratic leadership called the video “very concerning” and showed why access to mental health services was important.
‘Representative Boyle has been open about his personal challenges. “We are encouraged that our colleague and dear friend is seeking help,” he stated.
‘Our commitment to providing mental health services doesn’t stop at Capitol Steps.
“One of the main reasons we advocate so strongly for access to mental health is the reality that anyone can and does face challenges, and seeking treatment should be encouraged, not stigmatized.”
Boyle, the brother of Congressman Brendan Boyle, has a long history of mental health issues that nearly cost him his job in 2022 and led to legal problems in 2021.
His recent scandals were an extraordinary fall from grace for the former rising star, who brought down a former Republican speaker of the House of Representatives who was only 30 years old.
He may not even run for re-election this year, after representing the Northeast Philadelphia district since 2011.
The deadline to file for the April Democratic primary next Tuesday is quickly approaching, and Boyle has not yet nominated himself for election.
Boyle has barely been seen in public in recent months, has missed numerous House sessions and has not updated his official social media since September.
Democrats are concerned about having someone on the ballot to defend the seat against Republican challengers.
One of them, Patrick Gushue, who will compete in the primary against Aizaz Gill, did not directly call for Boyle’s resignation, but criticized his conduct.
“His unacceptable behavior and threats to use his position of authority to shut down a local business highlight the need for new leadership in the district,” he wrote online.
Boyle’s recent scandals were an extraordinary fall from grace for the former rising star, who toppled a former Republican House speaker who was just 30 years old.
Bob Stewart, who ran against Boyle in the 2022 primary but planned to sit out this year, said he may have to enter the race after watching the video.
“If you withdraw, I will be left without a duty to my neighbors,” he said.
Boyle’s downward spiral began in 2021 with a series of bizarre social media posts that began by calling a colleague a “total fraud” who was “playing the race card.”
“Isaiah Thomas is probably the worst member of the Philadelphia City Council,” he tweeted about his old friend, who was confused by the sudden attack.
‘In a city with a homicide rate so out of control, he is literally defending efforts to further restrict policing. Plus, he’s playing the race card. A total fraud!’
Further outbursts led to him being removed from his position as chairman of the House Finance Committee and restricted from accessing the Capitol building.
Then, in September 2021, he was accused of harassment and violating a protection from abuse order issued by his wife and mother of his two young children.
Boyle was able to escape with a mental health evaluation and treatment plan in a deal with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
“It is important to note that Kevin Boyle is not accused of any act of violence,” Boyle’s attorney, R Emmett Madden, said at the time.
He intends to follow through with all medical and mental health recommendations from the court, including treatment.
“We are confident that with treatment, Kevin can return to full health, resolve these charges and continue serving his constituents.”

Boyle was charged with stalking and violating a protection from abuse order issued by his wife and mother of his two young children.
Boyle wrote a letter to voters before the primary blaming psychosis caused by an adverse reaction to the Adderall he was taking to treat ADHD.
“My family and friends realized that I was starting to act differently, that my mental health was getting worse,” she wrote.
But I couldn’t see it myself. I lost touch with reality and suffered paranoid delusions.
‘I’m very, very lucky. I now understand, on a personal level, that anyone can develop a mental health problem.’
Boyle claimed that the treatment he was forced to receive at a mental health facility as a result of his arrest saved his life.
Republicans called on him to resign and “focus on his personal health and the future well-being of those around him.”
But the Democratic leadership supported him, he won the 2022 primary and prevailed in the general election.
