A state-of-the-art air fryer discovered at Goodwill for just $5 revealed it contained a stomach-churning surprise: a piece of an old sandwich.
In a video posted on TikTok, a shopper can be seen standing next to the sleek kitchen appliance.
“I’m like, wow, Instant Pot air fryer at Goodwill for $5,” she said, before pulling on the handle and revealing the chunk of moldy food.
“Oh, it comes with a free sandwich,” he said.

At that moment, the camera zoomed in on the uneaten piece of food.
Between the two pieces of yellowed bread there seemed to be slices of some kind of indiscriminate cold cut, as well as some old cheese.
Around the sandwich, the fryer tray appeared to be covered in oil and grease.
“Oh my God,” the man filming the clip moaned, clearly nauseous.
He Tik Tokwhich was posted unapologetically by kristen_, had a humorous caption: ‘This should be illegal.’
The air fryer in the video looked similar to the Instant Vortex 2QT Mini Air Fryer, which sells at Walmart for $76.44.

The clip has nearly 77,000 likes and many viewers took to the comments section to express their utter shock and disgust.
“Disgusting,” wrote one user, adding a vomit emoji.
“That’s crazy,” another shocked commenter said.
“GASP,” someone said simply.
“You can’t tell me NO ONE opened that before putting it on the shelf,” another viewer wrote.
Between the two pieces of yellowed bread, there seemed to be slices of some indiscriminate sausage, as well as some old cheese.
Other commentators expressed their amazement that the sandwich did not appear to have any mold on it.
“I’m worried there’s mold,” one person wrote.
Another user echoed this sentiment, commenting: “Isn’t it moldy?”
