A furious Aldi shopper has slammed the supermarket after discovering a pack of meat weighed less than advertised.
The customer uploaded a video to social media platform X after purchasing a pack of three-star minced meat.
“I just bought some minced meat from Aldi, the packet says 500 grams,” she said.
He then showed the piece of meat placed on the scales of a weighing machine.
The machine’s display revealed that the meat actually weighed 412g.
The buyer was not impressed and expressed his displeasure.
“What the hell is Aldi?” he said.
Many social media users were outraged and some called for a boycott of the supermarket.

“Australia, boycott Aldi,” wrote one.
Some were quick to point out a small detail on the label: supermarkets do not have to specify how much a product weighs.
“The magic ‘e’ indicates that the actual weight will be less than advertised. In theory, it means the weight could be higher or lower,” one wrote.
“The ‘e’ next to the weight indicates ‘estimate’. They all (major supermarkets) do it,” wrote another person.
Internationally, the mark is used to certify that the contents of the package “meet specified estimation criteria.”
Others thanked the buyer for verifying the actual weight while others expressed surprise.
“No way, Aldi – there’s almost 100 grams of difference,” wrote one.
Customers have raised the issue of weight labels when they have bought packages of meat from other supermarkets.

A Woolworths shopper previously shared a photo of her $7.50 lean mince weighing 262g, instead of the 500g it was supposed to weigh.
