Furious parents have demanded that a model and actress facing charges of sexually abusing a child stay away from other children when she drops her son off at an elite public school.
In a letter to the Adelaide newspaper The advertiserParents said an elite private school is ignoring their concerns about Megan Skye Blancada, who faces charges of child sexual abuse and possession of child exploitation material.
bLancada, who has a role in the hit Australian horror film Wolf Creek as well as other productions, and works as a bikini model and social media beauty influencer, faces charges of child sexual abuse and possession of child exploitation material.
Although parents accept BLancada, 34, has not yet been proven guilty and they believe she would be treated differently if she were a man dropping off his son at school, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

They claim that the school administration is ignoring their concerns.
“This woman currently has easy access to the children at our school and I am very concerned for the other children,” the letter states.
‘I can’t help but believe that if (Blancada) were a man, (she) would also be banned from school and interacting with children (until the charges were resolved).
“A teacher told us that Megan had been reported (to school management) and that concerns had been raised about her, but they were ignored.”
The school’s principal, however, told The Advertiser that all proper protocols, as mandated by the pThe police and the Department of Child Protection were being followed.
Blancada had been banned from all school grounds and facilities, the principal said.
“We learned of his charges last year and received an update this year from the Department of Child Protection,” the director said.
‘(The ban) happened in a two-step process with her banned from (part of) our site since November or December… the police were fully informed and offered us guidance on the matter.
Parents are concerned that Ms. Blancada is being treated differently than an accused man would be treated.
“Blancada was able to drop her own son off at school, but was banned from all (the grounds) once we found out her charges had increased in February of this year.”
The principal said the charges against Blancada were not related to the school environment.
On Monday Blancada appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court to face charges of sexual abuse of a child under 16 and possession of child exploitation material.
Police alleged his offense occurred between July 30, 2021, and November 6, 2023, in Adelaide’s outer north, court documents show.
In online profiles, Blancada, 34, promotes herself as a fitness model and advertises her roles in films such as Hey Hey Its Esther and Wolf Creek.
Blancada claims to have modeled for Mitsubishi and Bank SA and is the author of a novel called Shadow Hunters: Shadows in the Wall.
In her online profile, the Adelaide-born model also says that she “likes to keep her private life to herself by keeping a low profile.”
