A young woman was devastated when she refused to accept a whopping $1,500 to give up her seat on a packed flight because she had to go to work the next morning.

Collins Kaye, who is in the US military, filmed herself sitting for takeoff as a flight attendant announced that the airline would offer the hefty sum to anyone willing to get off the plane and take a flight the next morning.

“Who’s going to take it? $1,500,” the attendant could be heard asking passengers, before someone apparently accepted a few seconds later.

Meanwhile, Collins admitted via a text overlay on the post: ‘I hate that my vacation is ending today, because I wanted to give up this seat for that $1,500.

Collins further clarified that the airline was not only offering $1,500 in cash, but also a night’s hotel accommodation and a flight the following morning leaving at 9:30 a.m.

Military members generally get 30 days of paid leave per year.

Hundreds of people wrote in the comments to swear they would have been first in line to volunteer to take the flight the next morning in exchange for money and overnight accommodation.

“You’re better than me. I’d already be at the hotel checking into my room,” wrote one.

“I would have yelled BINGO, stood up and started walking forward,” a second insisted.

“I would have reached the exit before she finished saying one hundred,” said a third.

“Yes, my flight was delayed,” a fourth suggested as a white lie so he could accept the offer.

“I would have called them and extended my license FAST,” said a fifth, to which Collins replied: “OMG I should have, I feel so bad right now.”

“I’m jumping over the seats,” a sixth fantasized.

“I would have walked away from that plan real quick,” a seventh agreed, and Collins chimed in: “Girl, I wanted it so bad.”

Collins’ story is far from the only recent viral drama surrounding airplane seating.

As DailyMail.com reported, a woman recently took to Reddit to ask what she should have done when she found another woman sitting in her assigned seat.
