KIIS FM Melbourne host Byron Cooke has announced he will host his own breakfast show in Saudi Arabia.

Cooke revealed that he will travel to the Middle East to launch the country’s first English-speaking commercial radio station.

‘It’s official! “I’m moving to Saudi Arabia to host The Byron Cooke Show,” she wrote on Instagram.

Cooke also shared the news with KIIS FM Sydney presenters Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson, revealing he will host his final show in Melbourne on Friday.

Cooke will host his new radio show alongside Sana Kothari, who was discovered in a search for new radio talent at Virgin Radio in the United Arab Emirates.

He told the Herald of the sun He will be learning Arabic and is excited to live in Saudi Arabia as he is close to his 15-year-old son who lives in Paris.

“It’s absolutely huge and I’m going to give it my all because it has the potential to have a huge impact globally,” he added.

Cooke’s career move comes just weeks before Kyle and Jackie O bring their radio show to Melbourne on April 29 as part of a record-breaking $200 million, 10-year deal.

‘What we are going to put in Melbourne has never been done before. Even if you already hate Jackie, give me a chance,” Kyle recently joked.

‘We are going to offer you a very different type of show. I’m not saying the others are the worst shows, they aren’t. They’ve been great, but we offer something different.’

‘We stick to what we know. In terms of day-to-day content, nothing changes, we’re not simplifying things or going backwards,” Jackie added.

‘We can’t wait to finally broadcast in Melbourne. They were excited.’

The couple promised the show would be more “inclusive” to Melbourne and include the city in its prize draws, which were previously only for Sydney residents.
