Singer Kehlani has been accused of belonging to a “sex cult” by her ex-partner in a paternity petition she filed to gain full custody of their baby daughter Adeya.

Javaughn Young-White, who dated Kehlani from 2018 to 2019 and played guitar for her in the past, claims in his petition that his name was not listed on his five-year-old daughter’s birth certificate because the singer, who uses they/them and she/her pronouns, gave birth “via a home birth orchestrated by what I would describe as a cult.”

“For the past five years, I have requested a copy of Adeya’s birth certificate and to have my name added to her birth certificate, but to no avail,” she continued, according to documents obtained by Page six.

Young-White also accused her ex of temporarily preventing her from seeing their daughter, whom they welcomed in March 2019, due to what he described as a “vision” from a person he claimed was a “cult leader” to whom Kehlani was in thrall.

DailyMail.com has reached out to a representative for Kehlani for comment.

Javaughn Young-White, who dated the singer and played guitar for her, claims in his petition that his name was not listed on his daughter’s birth certificate because the singer gave birth “via a home birth orchestrated by what I would describe as a cult.”

Young-White also claimed that Kehlani refused to give her her daughter’s social security number.

She was allegedly concerned that Adeya did not even have a social security number on file due to her ex’s unusual behavior and evasiveness whenever she requested one.

As for the alleged “sex cult,” she said in her filing that she has been involved with it for the past several years, and said the group “controls” what Kehlani does, as well as determining how her daughter is raised.

Young-White slammed the alleged “cult leader,” who he says calls himself “Neto,” for keeping him away from his daughter.

He claimed Neto shared a “vision” in which he claimed Young-White was a “danger” to Adeya and would “kill” her, which he said led Kehlani to prevent him from seeing his daughter for months.

Kehlani’s ex shared his concerns about the influence the alleged “cult leader” had over her, as he learned that Neto allegedly had “numerous accusations of committing sexual assaults against women and girls.”

Young-White found this especially troubling since Neto had allegedly been allowed to perform “religious ceremonies” involving her daughter during which “no one was allowed in the room.”

“When I discovered this on her birthday in 2023, I was physically restrained and threatened by the ‘cult’ members when I tried to get our daughter back,” Young-White said.

He shared his concerns about other people in the alleged “sex cult” spending unsupervised time with his daughter, including an “adult woman” who calls herself “Messiah” and who is allegedly allowed to “take baths with Adeya while under the influence of psychedelic drugs.”

Kehlani’s ex also claimed that the singer leaves her daughter in the care of “random strangers” who are part of the “cult” when they are on tour, and expressed concern that Adeya allegedly “sleeps in bed with” them, “they bathe her,” and “is often alone in the bedroom” with the “cult” members.

As part of her paternity petition, Young-White is asking the court to make Adeya’s paternity official by adding his name to her birth certificate, after which she is requesting that it grant her full custody of Adeya.

His filing reportedly indicates that he is also seeking child support from Kehlani, as he says there is a “huge difference” between the money each of them makes.

Young-White has also reportedly requested that Kehlani undergo testing to determine whether she suffers from bipolar disorder, though it is unclear on what basis he fears she actually suffers from the psychological condition.

Young-White also claimed that Kehlani, who uses the pronouns

Young-White also claimed that Kehlani, who uses “they”/”she” pronouns, refused to give him Adeya’s Social Security number, leaving him concerned that she might not have one.

During her 2021 Facebook Watch special, Pride On! Kehlani & Larry’s Excellent Pride Ride, the singer spoke positively about Young-White and her decision to have a child with him.

“I have a two-year-old daughter… She’s the best. Her father and I are very, very close friends, and the decision to start a family was very easy for us because we both believed in each other’s ability to be good parents,” Kehlani said at the time, via People.

“We just focused on being a team, honestly, and when I was able to tell him that I had come to terms with my sexuality more, he was so, so, so supportive,” they added.
