The Queen of Jordan has said that Israel has committed ‘156’ ‘7. October’, referring to the 30,000 Palestinians who have been killed in the war.
Queen Rania, who was born to Palestinian parents, made the remarks at a CNN interview yesterday.
She also called for the war to end, saying that as “traumatic as October 7 was” for Israel, it does not give it the right to “commit atrocity after atrocity.”
The Jordanian Queen openly admitted that it is not only Hamas who ‘hate’ Israilis, but normal Palestinians.
She said: ‘Palestinians don’t hate Israelis because of who they are, they hate them because of what they do to them.’
Queen Rania said: ‘Palestinians don’t hate Israelis because of who they are, they hate them because of what they do to them.’

In the interview, she told CNN interviewer Christiane Amanpour: ‘As devastating and as traumatic as October 7 was, it does not give Israel permission to commit atrocity after atrocity. Israel experienced one October 7th, since then the Palestinians have experienced 156 October 7ths.’
Regarding recent calls for Israel to increase aid to Palestine, namely by Joe Biden in his State of the Union address last week, the Jordanian Queen said: Aid under bombardment does not stop the destruction, death and heartache.
“We cannot save people from starvation only then to bomb them to death.
‘There are no victories to be had as long as this war continues.’
The Queen blamed Israel for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, saying Israel is responsible for cutting off the people of Gaza from basic necessities such as food, fuel and water.
She also said that Israel has left the people of Gaza completely dependent on outside aid, they continue to bomb and attack the people of Gaza while they are starving.
She says the starvation of the people of Gaza is an Israeli-made disaster, claiming it is ‘deprivation by design’.
She went on to talk about October 7 and how it was not the beginning of the conflict.
She said: ‘We can’t save people from starvation only then to bomb them to death.’

She said: ‘I think a lot of people need to know more about this conflict to really understand the intricacies of it, to understand that this is one of the greatest historical injustices, to understand what the root cause of this problem is, to understand that this conflict did not begin on October 7, that it was the result of years of occupation, of settlement expansion, of human rights violations, of disregard for international law, and that is what led us to this point.’

Faced with the concept that Israel is unfairly singled out on the world stage, she argues that this is hard to believe because critics of Israel only want Israel to do the ‘necessary minimum, which is simply to comply with international law.’
The Anti Defamation League, a body that targets anti-Semitism, responded to the interview on X, writing: ‘Queen Raina of Jordan continues to spread false allegations about Israel while downplaying the seriousness of Hamas’ attacks on Israel.
‘Israel’s war against Hamas – a despicable terrorist organization that uses human shields – is in no way comparable to the unprecedented brutal massacre of October 7.
“Especially during the month of Ramadan, we hope that Jordan will play a constructive role in de-escalating tensions.”

This is not the first time Queen Rania has used a CNN interview to broadcast her support for Palestine.
Last October, she used an interview to launch a remarkable attack on the West, criticizing US support for Israel’s retaliatory strikes against Hamas and claiming there was a ‘double standard’ in global sympathy for the war’s victims.
She said she “of course” condemned Hamas’ killing of innocent Israelis, but questioned why Israel’s self-defense did not come under the same level of global scrutiny, reserving all her sympathy for the Palestinians.
