A mother-of-two has sparked fierce debate after revealing her bizarre travel trick that allows her to Velcro her children to their plane seats.

She cheerfully suggested that parents with children who are likely to fidget on flights physically tape their children to their chairs to eliminate the movement.
But the peculiar stunt caused quite a stir in the comments, with viewers left bitterly divided over the practice.
Lisa Flom, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, took to TikTok to share ‘the best airplane travel hack’ with her 809,000 followers.
She cheerfully suggested that parents with children prone to fidget on flights physically attach their children to their chairs to eliminate the movement.
In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 19.7 million times, Lisa can be seen preparing the plane seat for her young son on an unidentified flight.
The content creator, who is a mother of two daughters, ages three and one, began by adding a Velcro strip to the seat before placing corresponding patches on her daughter’s clothing.
The young man was then secured in his position and could no longer wander around unguarded.
Lisa then showed how easy it was to remove both sets of strips at the end of the flight.
But the practice was met with fierce debate.
On the one hand, there were those who praised the idea as “genius,” adding, “I love it. Work smarter, not harder!!!”
A second person commented: “My son needs this for meals.”
Another added: “Taking notes, while I don’t have kids.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration: ‘The safest place for your child under two years old on a US airplane is in an approved child restraint system (CRS), not on your lap.
Other commenters recalled a scene from the Walt Disney movie, The Goofy Movie, in which one of the animated characters named Pete used Velcro strips to keep babies still during their professional photo shoots.
‘A child restraint system (CRS) is a forward- or rear-facing hard-back child safety seat.
“Your arms are not capable of safely holding your child on your lap, especially during unexpected turbulence.”
The site’s travel advice continues: ‘The FAA strongly recommends that you secure your child in an approved CRS or other approved device throughout the flight.
‘Buying a ticket for your child is the only way to guarantee that they will be able to use a CRS.
“It is the smartest and correct thing to do so that all members of your family arrive safely at their destination.”
According to the National Institutes of Health2019 study: “Children who are not restrained in the lap are prone to injuries during the flight, especially during meal service or in turbulence.”
