Kyle Sandilands has revealed his wild theory about Matthew Newton’s relationship with his mother Patti and late father Bert.
Radio host KIIS FM jokingly claimed on The Kyle and Jackie O show on Tuesday that Matthew is not the showbiz couple’s “real son”.
He told his co-host Jackie O. Henderson that he believes he and Matthew were swapped at the hospital.
“(Patti) has told me that she and Bert have had serious conversations about me being Bert and Patti Newton’s child,” Kyle said.
“Only because you have a big moon face,” Jackie replied.

Kyle explained that he was also “a cupcake like Bert and Matt was doing what Matt was doing.”
News anchor Brooklyn Ross then asked Kyle, ‘Does he even have the same birthday as you?’
“Well, no, it doesn’t,” Jackie replied.
He told his co-host Jackie O Henderson that he believes he is Bert and Patti’s son, but that he and Matt were swapped at the hospital.
Matthew has not been to Australia in years and did not return for his father Bert’s funeral in 2021.
She has enjoyed a quiet and anonymous life in the United States since she married six years ago after a series of scandals.
This includes allegations of domestic violence from two ex-girlfriends: Australian actresses Brooke Satchwell, 40, and Rachael Taylor, 37.
Matthew was also accused in 2011 of assaulting a taxi driver on the way to a children’s party.
He was also arrested twice in Miami, Florida, in 2012: once for trespassing and resisting officers, while in a second incident he was charged with assault and resisting arrest after attacking a hotel receptionist.

Following the charges, Matthew entered the Betty Ford Center in California to receive 90 days of alcohol and drug treatment.
Matthew, who suffers from bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and has a history of addiction, shies away from the spotlight.
He had starred in a number of successful Australian television shows before moving overseas.
Matthew now spends his days swimming and hiking with his wife Catherine Schneiderman and their two dogs.
Matthew and Catherine, daughter of former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, began dating in 2012 and got engaged in October 2016.
A family friend told New Idea in 2017 that the couple had secretly married at Catherine’s mother’s home in New York.
