Donald Trump announced that his youngest son, Barron, has decided where he will attend college and praised the 18-year-old for attending his first political rally on Tuesday night.

Barron Trump joined the former president’s other sons, Eric and Don Jr., at a campaign event in Doral, Miami, where Donald Trump owns a golf club. The three sat together in the front row.

Trump introduced his three sons to the crowd, saying it was “the first time” Barron had joined them and hinted at the teenager’s future amid reports that Barron is interested in politics.

“A very young man now going to college,” Trump said of Barron.

“He went to all the colleges he wanted to go to and he made his choice. And he’s a very good guy, I can tell you that… Barron Trump is a very special guy. This is the first time he’s done something like this.”

Barron stood up and waved to the crowd, receiving massive applause from Trump loyalists.

The Trump family has not said where Barron will attend college. He graduated from high school in May.

Barron is rumored to have attended New York University, Georgetown University, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Melania Trump’s office did not respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

The former president has described Barron as a person fascinated by politics.

“He’s been a great student and he likes politics. He’s kind of funny,” Trump told “Kayal and Company” on Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in May.

“Sometimes he tells me, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do,'” he added.

Earlier this summer, Barron Trump turned down Florida’s offer to be a delegate to this summer’s Republican National Convention.

A week after the state announced that the 18-year-old would represent it in Donald Trump’s nomination, Melania Trump’s office announced that Barron had “prior commitments.”

“While Barron is honored to have been selected as a delegate for the Florida Republican Party, he regrettably declines to participate due to prior commitments,” Melania Trump’s office said.

No further details were given.

It is unclear whether Barron will attend the convention, which will take place in Milwaukee from Monday, July 15 to Thursday, July 18.

Barron attended his father’s presidential announcement in 2016 and attended the Republican National Conventions in 2016 and 2020.

She was not present at her father’s announcement for 2024 at Mar-a-Lago.

In Trump’s last two White House campaigns, Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka were heavily involved, speaking at their father’s rallies and campaigning for him. Tiffany joined her siblings on the 2020 campaign trail, but Barron stayed out of sight.

He was only 10 years old when his father became president.
