It’s been seven years since Donald Trump looked directly at the solar eclipse without wearing protective glasses.

Now he is getting back on the sky-watching train with a campaign video that compares the elections to the solar event.

As millions of people across the country prepare to see the moon blocking the sun, Trump posted a clip of a silhouette of his head moving across the sky.

Donald Trump released a campaign video comparing the election to the eclipse, where his head blocks the sun.

The video begins with the phrase ‘the most important moment in human history will take place in 2024’ floating over an image of the sun.

With the theme 2001: A Space Odyssey playing in the background, the video then cuts to photos of crowds gathering to watch the eclipse with glasses on.

Crowds begin to cheer as Trump’s head slowly approaches the sun and America goes dark.

It’s been seven years since Trump looked directly at the solar eclipse without wearing goggles.

The video begins with the phrase ‘the most important moment in human history will take place in 2024’ floating over an image of the sun.

In 2017, he watched an eclipse from the Truman Balcony of the White House with former first lady Melania and their son Barron.

With the theme song 2001: A Space Odyssey playing in the background, the video then cuts to photos of crowds gathering to watch the eclipse with their glasses on.

As his head covers the sun, creating his own eclipse, more words appear on the screen saying, “We will save America.” And make it great again.’

Trump posted the video overnight, hours before he finally announced his abortion policy.

In 2017, he watched an eclipse from the Truman Balcony of the White House with former first lady Melania and their son Barron.

At one point he looked directly at the sky without his goggles on.

Someone in the crowd of spectators shouted: ‘Don’t look!’ as the president looked up.

Trump’s brooding attitude toward looking at the sun without special glasses drew swift condemnation from critics and scientists who spent the days leading up to the eclipse warning people not to do so.

The moment also caused a series of memes mocking the president for looking at the sun, while others joked that the president received special powers after looking at the sun.
