This is the astonishing moment a grandmother was found alive after suffering a terrifying four-hour choking attack by a 13-foot-long python.
Arrom Arunroj, 64, was washing dishes in his outdoor kitchen in Samut Prakan, Thailand, when he felt a sudden stab of pain in his right thigh.
She looked down thinking it was a monitor lizard that had bitten her, only to see a massive 13-foot python crawling up her leg.
Arrom said he panicked and tried to tear the python’s head off.
However, she fell, allowing the 45-pound snake to wrap itself tightly around her torso.

Her arms were pale and numb and she had wounds on her leg where the python had bitten her.
Arrom was rushed to hospital for treatment.
She said: ‘I work as a maid at a children’s hospital in Bangkok. I had been renting this room with my husband for many years, but he passed away last year. I have been living alone since then.
“I didn’t notice the snake until it bit me. I looked down and it was coiled around my leg.
“I was afraid the python would kill me, so I screamed at the top of my lungs until a passerby heard me. I have never been so scared in my life.
“The snake wouldn’t let go. I’m sure it was waiting for me to die so it could eat me. So I just prayed and did the best I could to stay alive.”

Arrom received first aid and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police Senior Sergeant Anusorn Wongmalee, commander of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Unit at Phra Samut Chedi police station, said police received the report at 10pm.
He said: ‘The scene of the incident was a single-storey rental apartment with five rooms built next to each other. In the fourth room where the victim lived, the door was locked.
“Police and rescue workers could hear her faint screams from inside, so we broke down the door to rescue her. What we saw shocked us.
‘The old woman was being squeezed by a huge python that must have weighed more than 45 pounds.
‘We used every tool we could to try to free her. It took us over 30 minutes to get her out. We then released her in the woods behind the room.
Pythons are found throughout Thailand, but it is rare that they attack humans.
They are not venomous, but kill their prey by stunning it with a bite before engulfing it and crushing it to death.
