Richard Wilkins, 70, was accompanied to the funeral of Nicole Kidman’s mother on Tuesday by his younger girlfriend, Mia Hawkswell, 47.
The veteran entertainment reporter held the famous makeup artist’s hand as they headed to St. Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay to say a final goodbye to Janelle Kidman.
Wilkins looked dapper in a dark suit and tinted glasses, while his new girlfriend looked sophisticated in a dark dress covered by a long black coat.
The Nine star went public with her relationship with Hawkswell earlier this year, following her split from ex Nicola Dale.
Mia is the makeup artist of choice for several high-profile Sydney women, including Sonia Kruger (who reportedly introduced the couple), fitness influencer Rachael Finch, Jessica Rowe and Kate Waterhouse.

Janelle died at the age of 84 last month, just hours before Nicole received the Best Actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.
Nicole held hands with her country music star husband, 56, as she arrived at the church dressed in a long black coat and designer sunglasses.

The couple were also joined by their two daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, as well as Nicole’s sister Antonia, 54.
Nicole’s older children, Bella and Connor, whom she adopted with ex-husband Tom Cruise, did not appear to attend the service.
During an emotional moment before the funeral, Sunday was seen wiping tears from her eyes as she was overcome with emotion on the difficult day.
She was supported by Faith and her cousins Lucia, 26, Hamish, 23, and Sybella Hawley, 17, who are the children of Antonia and her late husband Angus Hawley.
Antonia shares another son, James, with Angus, who died in April 2015 of a suspected heart attack, while she welcomed two more sons, Nicholas and Alexander, with her second husband, Craig Marran.
Craig supported Antonia at Janelle’s funeral as he was seen lovingly placing his hand on her shoulder outside the church in a heartfelt moment.
The Kidman family was joined by close friends at the intimate service, including Australian television presenter Peter Overton, his wife Jessica Rowe and daughters Allegra and Giselle.

The Overton and Kidman-Urban clan have shared a close relationship over the years, even ringing in the New Year together at the famous family’s multi-million dollar penthouse in North Sydney on January 1, 2023.
Peter also acted as a pallbearer at Nicole’s father Antony’s funeral on September 19, 2014, which was held in the same church as Janelle’s service.
Antony died of a suspected heart attack in Singapore at the age of 75, and the Kidmans said goodbye to him in a more public funeral, with many famous names, including Russell Crowe, paying their respects.
Last month, Nicole and Antonia shared a touching tribute to their late mother on Instagram and posted several never-before-seen family photos.
In the post, the Perfect Couple star thanked her millions of fans and followers for expressing their condolences during her time of grieving.
“My sister and I, along with our family, want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in the joint statement.
‘Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express. Thank you from our entire family for respecting our privacy while we take care of each other.’

Speaking about his new romance with Daily Mail Australia in June, Wilkins said things between him and Hawkswell were wonderful.
‘Life is good. I’m happy. ‘Things are good,’ he said.
Wilkins, who is usually private when it comes to his private life, added: “It’s a little strange when there are people poking their heads out of the bushes, but it’s okay.”
Daily Mail Australia broke the news of their relationship last week after the Channel Nine star was spotted with Mia at her friend Annika Martyn’s birthday party.
In a video shared on Instagram by Annika, Richard was seen getting off a boat hand in hand with Mia.
Mia also shared a cryptic post on her Instagram Stories, showing her glasses jingling with a man off camera, which she captioned: “All you need is love.”
Mia reportedly recently split from a long-term partner, while Richard broke up with his long-term girlfriend Nicola Dale.
Richard previously dated Over the Back Fence podcast host Nicola for four years, before news of their split was confirmed in January.
