Caitlin Clark stunned in her return to WNBA action on Friday night and a new clip highlighted just how impressive the Indiana Fever rookie was.
The top draft pick defeated three U.S. Olympic gold medalists in a 98-89 victory in her WNBA return as the Fever held off the Phoenix Mercury in dramatic fashion.
Clark was sensational in the first half, especially when he flew out of the blocks after his month-long break from the league due to the Paris Games.
The 22-year-old scored 29 points as the Fever escaped a scare after blowing a 28-point lead in the third quarter.
However, one of her most impressive moments of victory came when it was an assist instead of a basket to herself.

Clark found teammate Kelsey Mitchell with a quick pass that sailed over Olympic gold medalist Brittney Griner’s head. Mitchell took advantage of the pass and quickly found the net.
A new angle of the pass was shared in recent footage by the WNBA, leaving fans stunned.
Clark also set another record on her way to victory: she became the first rookie in WNBA history to record 450+ PTS and 200+ AST.
Clark also recorded her 10th double-double of the season as her team swept the three-game series with Phoenix in front of a sellout crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which had waited more than a month to see its star player back in action.
“We were amazing, we had some mistakes that we didn’t like very much, but we always found a way to respond,” Clark said afterwards.
Mitchell took advantage of the pass and quickly found the net during the 98-89 victory.
Clark scored 29 points and recorded his 10th double-double of the season.
“This sets the tone for what we want to do for the rest of the season, and we will do it with great effort. We have to go one by one and on Sunday we have another great victory.”
Mitchell provided fantastic support for Clark in the Fever attack with 28 points of his own.
“I enjoy it,” Kelsey said of their connection at a postgame news conference. “I think basketball is a language and you have to be on the same page with your type of person.”
“Me and C-square like to play the same way, fast and with a fast pace. That’s why I always adapt to how she plays and how the match is going and I take it easy because I enjoy it, I’m in favor of it.”
