A chaotic street fight broke out outside a school in Chile, leading to a student running over his own mother with a family car before running over the father of a student the driver had been fighting with earlier at school.
The altercation was sparked by an earlier fight between the two students on Thursday inside the school in Puente Alto, on the outskirts of Santiago. After their parents were summoned to the school, chaos broke out, with witnesses capturing the scene on video.
Several videos show people confronting each other in the street, and at one point the mother is seen lunging at the father of the student her son had been fighting with earlier that day. Authorities say the woman stabbed the man.

In the clips, she can be seen punching the man several times with her right hand. After the two separate from the fight, a white van driven by the woman’s son hits her, sending her flying to the ground.
The driver then accelerates and drives into his rival’s father while several people continue to fight in the street.
Another clip shows the student running over the father a second time before exiting the vehicle and kicking him.

Five adults and two students were arrested, and all seven are due to appear before a judge on charges including attempted murder.
‘Upon leaving school, both families began to argue and attack each other, resulting in two people being stabbed and two people being run over by a relative of one of the students, while also causing various blows, threats and damage to both families,’ said Juan Cheuquiante, who is leading the investigation from the Metropolitan South Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
‘The detainees will be charged with attempted murder, injuries of varying severity, as well as damage and threats.’
The driver then ran over the father of a classmate he had fought with at school.
A car’s dashcam captured the moment a father was hit by a pickup truck driven by a boy who had gotten into a fight with his son at school.
The mayor of Punto Alto, Germán Codina, told Chilevisión Televisión that he is concerned about the behavior displayed by parents and students.
“It seems that there was already violent behaviour here some time ago, which was reported by the educational establishment, and I am concerned that no concrete measures have been taken,” said Codina.
Police patrols at the school have been increased in the morning and afternoon.
